Reality check: Our data shows light trucks and vans actually have LOWER pedestrian injury and fatality rates per registered vehicle than passenger cars. Does that mean they’re safer? No. It means the data is complex and deserves honest analysis — something the @nytimes skipped when it didn’t fit their story.
While activists will knowingly twist the facts to force Americans out of the vehicles their families need, this @USDOT respects consumer choice and makes decisions grounded in science.

Here's how to navigate them safely. ⤵️
