The MYSO IOO is coming! 🎯🔥
Without spoiling too many of the fine details, we'd like to introduce the Initial Open Offering to the world - a novel token distribution mechanism that will allow users to get access to the new MYSO Token (MYT)!
Rather than a simple token sale, the IOO will allow users to acquire MYT by pledging some collateral as part of a MYSO loan - they’ll then have the option to either keep the MYT or return it prior to a fixed expiry date to reclaim their collateral.
To simplify:
▪ If MYT value > collateral value then keep MYT!
▪ If MYT value < collateral value then reclaim your collateral!
This means you'll have have access to MYT upside while having downside protection!
Access to MYSO tokens via the IOO will be limited, so timing is important - getting in earlier will also mean better loan terms! You might even be able to acquire MYT at the same FDV terms as MYSO’s institutional seed investors like @GSR_io , @wintermute_t , @HashKeyGroup , @Nexo , @CMT_Digital and others!👀

Wait - borrowing tBTC instead of using it as collateral?
We're flipping the script on conventional DeFi loans - instead, pledge stables as collateral and borrow tBTC!
By borrowing tBTC on MYSO instead of using it as collateral, you are not only receiving tBTC but also purchasing a call option on tBTC for an upfront fee (similar to the premium for buying call option contracts)
This means that you have downside protection on your Bitcoin exposure, as you can repay the tBTC at any time prior to expiry and reclaim your locked stablecoin collateral!
On the other hand, if the price of Bitcoin (and thus tBTC) rises above some price (value of locked stablecoin collateral + upfront fee), you can simply keep the tBTC and not repay the loan!

The MYSO IOO went live today - but how does it really work? 🤔
The IOO is a TGE mechanism that may seem complex (farming $MYT call options) but in practice, it's actually quite simple!
Here's how it works in 3 steps:
1. Go to app.myso.finance/ioo and pledge a token as collateral, say $USDC or $mETH from @0xMantle
2. Get proportional $ amount of MYSO Tokens $MYT in return based on current FDV
3. You now have 14 days to decide whether you want to keep the token or not
Simple right? But what does this really mean?
You are participating in $MYT upside, and that's it. Pledge collateral, get $MYT in return at the current IOO FDV and see how it performs before deciding to keep it or get your collateral back.
The beauty here is that MYSO is giving equitable access to tokens in a way that puts users in control and uses the protocol itself to make that happen!
$MYT will be the heart and value-accrual mechanism of the MYSO ecosystem on our quest to become the figurehead in on-chain structured products and organic yield generation 🫡
