And we've been saying this. Booktok actually regressed publishing in many ways but especially when it comes to the types of diverse books that get published.
“TikTok saved publishing” but the books pushed on there are overwhelmingly white and I guess we just aren’t going to discuss how much the industry has regressed in terms of diversity gains that barely lasted a decade 🙂
