I feel bad for writing this, but with tech rolls being the answer for mostly every option at the wall, there aren't any good reasons left to play Ling. She's evasive, but regarding combo dmg, tracking and range issues, wall carry, and now oki, it's bad.

If absolute aggressiveness, constant 50/50 guessing, + oB homing moves into stance mixups with no counterplay is the direction Tekken 8 will continue going for, I'm afraid Xiaoyu will struggle to keep up with most of the cast. Just my pov, hoping for changes.

People seem to (mostly) disagree, however CBT Ling Xiaoyu got huge buffs, she is very strong imo:
+ F212 in heat is insane, almost dumb
+ HYP 3 being only -12 is huge
+ New PC
+ FF4 CH launcher and + 8 ob into

Xiaoyu can't parry hopkicks anymore. However, she can use the Hop'n'Throw input to get floated instead of giving the opponent a full combo (most of the time). Xiaoyu players take notes 📝 #Lingnation
Punishing this move from Ling can be tricky, but there's an alternative way that can be easier.
Make sure to test your character's options!
