Last night a violent male smashed the windows of a house with a terrified mother and child inside. PD Taro tracked the male through a housing estate before chasing him through several gardens. The male gave himself up and was arrested. Thank you Taro for keeping us safe.

Last night a terrified female rang 999 as she woke to find a male in her bedroom. He made off with items he had stolen as PD Turbo arrived and saw him in the street. He tried to run but Turbo chased and swiftly detained him. One in custody, and top work from Turbo and his dad.

He had a brilliant career finding in excess of £100k and took a large quantity of drugs and a firearm off the streets

Last night, whilst off duty, PD Jude and her handler saved an elderly lady who fell into a canal in Wigan. Hearing her cries for help they searched the area and PD Jude located her in the water. The handler is brand new and currently on his initial course. Fantastic effort 👏👏👏

Melvin worked for our dog section for 7 years, trained as an explosive detection dog.
Initially from @DogsTrust, Melvin provided dog support at high profile venues, including the 2012 Olympics.

Stanley served with Merseyside Police between 2009-2017
PD Stanley was a giant on the section and known as one of the best.

Star boy Taro was at it again last night! After a violent burglary two offenders made off but Taro was hot on their heels. After tracking for over a mile across varying terrain he located both offenders hiding in a garden. Great teamwork and persistence from Taro and his handler!

Sadly we have to report that 12 year old RPD Indy passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday. She was mother to 5 litters of police dogs including serving dogs Tilly, Victor, Vegas & Vinnie as well as recently retired Tango & Tex. She will be missed dearly.
