I remember watching this at the Quevega bar at Cheltenham.
Hard to hear the commentary, and as they came to the last, a lad behind me goes “C’mon Buveur!”
Didn’t have the heart to tell him.

He lost just one of his ten races and turned the 2019 Champion Hurdle, aged 5, into a procession. It was his final race.
Sadly, 5 months later, he got spooked, reared over and was fatally injured.

🗣️ "We did some studies about occupancy, how the town is trading, and it’s a rosy picture.
"Hotels weren’t empty because of disgruntled guests. What we learned from the hoteliers is that there’s an absolute band of regulars that come, and a camaraderie each year. The uptake of accommodation has been really strong, and there weren't any issues with billing last year, or this year.
"Hotels aren't being incredibly greedy, they’re not pushing the prices up because they can. It’s about having a formula which works and sticking with it. I’ve spoken to hotels who have said their prices haven’t changed since last year.
"We’ve got around the table on this and thought about the visitor economy, local businesses and residents. We want this to be a really brilliant festival where people enjoy coming to the town, and the experience."
