Every single day I plot out my first 30m candle high and low. This is your 30m ORB and it is one of the most powerful tools when day trading.
Trend = Break and Base outside ORB
Range = Price bound inside 30 ORB
Notice how price pushed higher outside of the ORB supply only due to a BNB occurring. This is where sellers will cover as close to breakeven as possible. (Buy imbalance) Once buyers began to exhaust, illustrated by the LH/LL pivot match, you saw a sell off directly back to the 30 ORB low demand. This was a great long entry using LOD as risk. Price shot right back to ORB high supply.
You will NOT trend lower UNLESS there is a BNB outside of ORB low. Notice how short chasers were taken for a nice little ride back to ORB high for a major loss.
Stop CHASING, start READING price action.

We need larger participants in the market to show their hand before we take a trade! This is due to the fact that retail traders cannot move LC price alone. āļø
In order for a reversal to occur, you need a HL confirmation (long reversal) or a LH confirmation (short reversal). Being able to identify these will save you thousands of dollars and aid you in trading WITH the next wave of buyers/sellers.

This will help reduce noise intraday! How many times have you chase a breakout just to see it reverse and youāre left with a BAG.
The EMAs will help tell you when to buy a dip WITH low risk.

š How to identify a Reversal!š
Use your 30m ORB and pivot points on $SPY to identify when a reversal is likely!
Leave a LIKE ā¤ļø for more breakdowns!
You do NOT need to be the first in the reversal. Wait for a HL (bullish) or LH (bearish) confirmation! This allows the trader to see when buyers are trying to hold and push a bid up.
If you identify a HL on the 5min chart, do not chase the HH break! Wait for the next HL to get in. This offers you better risk/reward.
Use VWAP as your main target to scale and IF claimed, price likely retests the opposing ORB level. Just by noticing the initial HL, you could have rode price all the way to ORB High. (2.5 pt move intraday)
