@MTAPD Detectives conducted a 'sting operation' on an individual selling forged MTA transit parking placards. The subject was arrested & charged w/ several counts of Forgery & Possession of a Forged Instrument.
ALT The MTA does not issue any transit parking placards for street parking. All others are forgeries except MTA Police issued ones.

Last month Sgt. Allen, PO Yannelos & Crocilla placed a man in custody @ Penn Station after observing him engaging in unauthorized commercial activity. He claimed he was selling cookies & was w/o ID, a search of his backpack revealed he was in possession of an illegal firearm.
