First service appointment for my
@chevrolet Silverado EV RST. I took it to
@PriorityChevy, I stopped by there almost a month ago to schedule the appointment. I asked them if I could get a loaner vehicle when I drop off, they said “yes”. My appointment was for 7:30am, I arrived at 7:20am and there was probably about 15 vehicles waiting in line in front of me. In all of my vehicle ownership years, I’ve never seen such chaos. Normally appointments are to streamline the drop off process. I talk to the service advisor and give her my list of issues that this truck is having, I ask for my loaner. She tells me “oh you can’t get a loaner until we verify the issues you are having”. I said “I can wait” she said if will probably take a week.
This is trash, this experience makes me not want this truck.
Before scheduling at this location, I called and stopped by the other dealerships in the area, some couldn’t get to the truck until the end of September and others not until October.
All of the shops claimed that they don’t have more than 1 or 2 techs that can work on EV’s.
My issues, my leveling system has been glitching since about 400 and something miles and continues.
My trim piece on the roof flew off.
The trim on the drivers fender is popping off.
The dash has a rattle
The 220 plug in the rear isn’t delivering consistent power, it fluctuates from 1kW to 7kW while in use.
The infotainment system freezes and you can’t control anything.
The truck has potential, but the service experience is going to ruin my ownership experience.
Riding in a truck with a suspension system that fails randomly makes for a terrible ride. This is the type of stuff that makes me doubt
@mtbarra and her commitment to EV’s.
