He was armed with a military knife and stun gun on Jan 6 when he assaulted Capitol Police. Dillon Herrington threw objects at police officers, including a full water bottle, an unidentified object pulled from a box marked “Danger High Voltage,” and a 4 x 4 piece of lumber. He pleaded guilty to assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and was sentenced to 37 months in prison — but was then arrested for rape on December 28, 2024.
