Crews responded to a report of an air conditioner fire on the 200 block of Callaway Road.
E8 arrived to find flames on the second floor balcony of a three-story apartment building, extending into the unit.
A quick attack knock down the fire,
Preventing significant damage.
Crews completed, overhaul, ventilation, and air monitoring of adjacent units.
No injuries were reported. One cat was safely rescued and reunited with its owner. 🚒🐈
With the summer heat, air conditioners are working overtime. Help prevent fires by unplugging units directly into a wall unit outlet, keeping filters, clean, avoiding overloading, extension, cords, and turning the unit off if you notice smoke, burning, smells, or unusual noises.
