SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT
Logan Sargeant, the first driver in today, was named as the driver of a white Mercedes last race that had nudged a bollard in the Barcelona drivers’ car park.
Channel 4 commentator and ex-F1 racer, David Coulthard, had a dig at Logan stating that Logan had made “contact without even being on track”.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that the white Mercedes in question was not Logan Sargeant‘s car, he was driving a black one. The driver in the white Merc was Alex Albon. But even then, there’s no guarantee it was Alex who had driven it up to touch the bollard as often the trainers are behind the wheel.

This fluffy feline was found in the Paddock Club without a pass today and was promptly evicted by a track worker. This circuit is somewhat famous for its cats, there are plenty around the paddock, and in past years a few have even made it onto the track during sessions.

ICYMI | F1 fans OUTRAGED with Montreal GP organisers after a disaster weekend for fan experience
It's safe to say the Canadian GP was a nightmare for many fans who attended over the weekend. But this one takes the cake. General Admission fans found themselves a spot on the start-finish straight throughout the weekend, but come one hour prior to the race, the organisers blocked their view with black mesh as they watched on helpless, despite being at the spot for hours.
Work needs to be done to ensure next year's event is not a disaster for fans at the track.

As a result of aircraft technical issues in Melbourne, a number of teams have not received freight for the Shanghai Grand Prix. Normally this would arrive on a Monday evening but as of now, teams have not received vital race freight with many not expecting theirs to arrive until late this afternoon. Teams affected include Red bull, Mercedes, McLaren and Williams.
Whether this will affect cars being on track come Friday morning, for the first and only practice session, is unclear. What is certain is there will be some long nights ahead for those crews.

Lewis Hamilton's physio/trainer/performance coach Angela Cullen is back for season 2025! I caught up with the popular New Zealander outside the Bahrain International Circuit picking up a parking pass for Lewis accompanied by Lewis' head of security.
Angela was in the garage at Ferrari's test track on January 22nd and while we thought she was probably coming back full time, it was just speculation. Today it was confirmed.
She was looking healthy and joyed to be back in the team Lewis lineup ahead of pre-season testing which kicks off at 10am this Wednesday at the Bahrain track.

McLaren Fire Update
At present, the McLaren hospitality suite is off limits to all but the fire crews as they investigate the fire that took hold in the kitchen around noon.
In short, it was an electrical fire in the ceiling of the kitchen and everyone, including me (I was about to enjoy a chicken lunch, so no, it wasn't me) was evacuated.
Numerous fire appliances were used, and the motorhome will be out of action for this race and perhaps even the next one.

Red Bull's newest driver was a very popular man as he entered the paddock this morning dressed in his new team kit. Yuki Tsunoda was promoted to the main seat from VCARB after the Red Bull heirarchy decided to make the call to switch him with Liam Lawson. It's a great opportunity for the Japanese driver to make a statement in his new team at his home race. We will see how he fares with the car in FP1 tomorrow.
