It's honestly crazy to think about the sacrifice people make to play this game and compete, just to have no control in a 4 game series which is actually a 3 game series since its "part of the game" to intentionally grief.
"You should've done more in the first 3 games". No, it's a BR and rng plays a big role. For every game you play and get a bad zone, bad loot, unlucky, etc, based on probability, the more games you have the less likely you are to have bad games in a row. If you flip a quarter 4 times, the probability of getting heads 3 times in a row is 1/8. 4 heads in a row is 1/16. 5 heads - 1/32. It's comparable to the RNG of apex. And my point is, we in theory only get 3 games and its more likely we can have 3 bad games in a row than 4. But we don't even get to play a 4th game because "its part of the game", thus, this 4 game format blows like a lot of people have been saying.
Ex-pro league players are literally struggling to make it to finals and it isn't because they're bad/washed. It's just these 4 game rounds.
Before the 2 people that read this comment go, "Bro, its part of the game". I get that, my point of this whole thing is that I wish it wasn't (which is impossible), and mainly that the 4 game series gives teams less chances to battle the RNG of a BR.
There is not a single major tournament being hosted these days that aren't 6 games. IMO the 4 games wasn't as hard back then (y2/y3) because of the discrepancy in skill (skill gap from top/bottom teams). I remember quarters having like 2-3 scary/finalist teams and that's it. Now quarters have like 6-8 finalist teams, but we still have the bad 4 game format. IMO once again, due to there being less of a skill gap, it's 100% time to change the competitive format to accommodate how competitive it has actually become. BR's breed RNG, but it should be somewhat balanced.
