It’s been a great run, but after over 40 years in college athletics including 39 here at Louisville, I plan to retire at the end of June.

I’ve just completed an 82-day stretch with St. John’s Athletics, initially to fill in while a staff member there had to be out for a month unexpectedly, and later to stick it out through the end of an incredible season. 1/7
Was fortunate to be at my mom’s side when she passed this evening. She was a wonderful loving, caring person, my biggest fan & was always, always there for me. While my heart is extremely heavy, I know she is reunited with my dad in heaven now.
It was an honor to work 18 years with such an icon for our basketball program, university & the entire Louisville community. Coach Crum was a winner as a coach, but also a champion as a person, a gentleman who was kind, generous and eager to offer his time to help others #RIP
The 502 Crew of Sutton, Snider & Spalding, as UofL started 3 players from Louisville high schools today vs Virginia Tech for the first time since March 24, 1994, vs. Arizona when Dwayne Morton, Jason Osborne, and Dejuan Wheat started (per @RealCardGame)
So sad to hear of Junior Bridgeman’s passing. He was the ultimate role model for any player that followed him at UofL. Aside from his astounding success, he was an incredibly humble, generous, wonderful person. Our Cardinal family lost one of its best today. 🙏
Hoping for a great game & telecast/radio call for the UofL vs Texas game at MSG. Will be the first @LouisvilleMBB game I haven’t attended in 40+ yrs, ending a run of 1,344 consecutive games. I’ll be cheering from the Ville! But, I DO get to watch my grandson play today! #GoCards!
Great to have Earl Clark here in the @kfc_yumcenter today. Cardinal hooper between 2006-09, scoring 1,104 points and helping UofL to 3 NCAA Tournament appearances, including earning the overall #1 seed in 2009 #GoCards
UofL lost a great one with the passing of Coach Jerry Jones today. He played a huge role in the success of @LouisvilleMBB on & off the court for over two decades as an assistant with Denny Crum. He was well-loved & appreciated by many and made a real impact in my life. #RIP
Exited to see a couple of former @LouisvilleMBB assistants in Kareem Richardson & @CoachKeattsNCSU from our 2013 Championship back at the Final Four looking to extend their incredible postseason run
Cardinal fans from Freedom Hall days will remember "the handstand guy" Sedat Acton, who was recognized on his 50 years as US citizen this morning on Great Day Live with @vincetyra
RIP Clifford Rozier. One of only six @LouisvilleMBB individuals to earn consensus All-America status & a terrific rebounder. If he couldn't immediately grab a rebound, he'd try to tip it around & keep it alive until he could.
So much fun recording this with the team & to be there for Coach Pitino’s interview on @FallonTonight ! @jimmyfallon made it special for our entire group!
UofL senior guard Quentin Snider received this basketball pregame today for becoming the 68th UofL player to score 1,000 career points, reaching that mark at Notre Dame on Jan. 16 #L1C4
Great to have @GoCards career three-point leader Taqwa Pinero (formerly Taquan Dean @TaqwaPinero) on campus today. Buried 359 career threes, including 122 during our 2005 Final Four season (1,649 career points, #13 at UofL)
Exterior signage in place now for the UofL Athletics Broadcast Center. Grand opening coming Sept. 17 for the 7,850 square foot production facility, which will originate live programming for the ACC Network launching in August 2019 #GoCards
So sad to hear of the passing of Coach Schnellenberger. With his pipe in hand, he inspired us to dream bigger & was the driving force for our beautiful stadium that we enjoy today. Rest In Peace Coach 🙏
RIP to Rob Butsch, who was the "flying" Cardinal Bird in Freedom Hall during a period in the 1990's before safety concerns grounded the pregame flights at UofL basketball games. Obituary: urlzs.com/a4Ngy
Honored to be working courtside at my 38th Final Four with @GoCards crew Clint Dobelstein, Scott Flavell, Jason Bond & Chris Brawner. Houston vs. Florida for the championship tonight! #FinalFour
Three years ago today, @DavidPadgettMS was named interim head men's basketball coach at UofL. Appreciate his efforts as a coach and player for the Cardinals. #GoCards
50 years at UofL?! I was truly fortunate & thankful to have nearly 40 of those years with Kathy beside me & I relied on her extensively. She’s extremely loyal, dependable, cleaned up a mountain of my mistakes & is a dear friend. Glad she can now enjoy a well-earned retirement!
Great to see Otis George, one of several members of the Cards’ 2005 Final Four team that will be at Saturday’s game vs. UNC. Watch for the team on the court during a timeout late in the first half. #GoCards
So sad to hear of the passing of dear friend Jerry May, a beloved member of our UofL family. A 2011 inductee to the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame, he took care of many Cardinal athletes (and me), including men’s basketball for three decades (1971-2001). #RIP Jerry
My wife Donna and sons Alex & Brady & grandkids have too often tolerated my absence, & I hope to make up some of that time now. I’m still at UofL a couple months, but am looking forward to grabbing a beverage this fall & cheering the Cards on from the stands. Stop by to say hi.
This has been unbelievable. I’m extremely humbled to be named the head coach for @LouisvilleMBB & thankful to share today with my family & my brothers.
Quentin Snider's 7 three-pointers in UofL's 75-68 victory at Virginia Tech today were the most for a Cardinal since Preston Knowles hit 7 vs Syracuse on Feb. 12, 2011. #L1C4
Honored to be working courtside at another Final Four with @GoCards crew Chris Brawner, Scott Flavell, Jeff Peterman & Jason Bond. Great first game tonight!
And while I’m retiring from my current position, I expect to still be around to support Kenny and our basketball program in some role. But it’s time for me to be a bit selfish.
You looked good from my vantage point on the right. I know you were thrilled to be Stayin’ Alive with another great win & we’ll be back with more Night Fever on Friday vs. Robert Morris
Enjoyed spending some time today watching @coachkennypayne bring smiles today to many @GoCards fans & reconnect with some #GoCards greats at the Derby City Reunion at the @NortonSLC!
Fun evening to see so many terrific people and celebrate Kathy Tronzo in her retirement after 50 years at @GoCards ! This photo is a group that worked with us in sports information or at UofL games through the years. #GoCards
Thrilled to be in Nashville last night to watch @LouisvilleBSB to reach its 10th Super Regional and it was INCREDIBLE to see my alma mater @RacersBaseball also advance tonight! Terrific performances by both teams! #GoCards#GoRacers
