I have some news - I have known for a while now that I’m Autistic.
It’s been a nice experience for me, figuring it out. I’ve learnt to understand myself better and it’s helped people around me do the same. There’s been a lot of emotions but the most dominant one has been relief.

We said goodbye to John The Dog yesterday. He had Lymphoma. We’ve spent the last month eating lots of treats and sitting in the garden with our friends. I’m sad but very grateful I got to hang out with literally the best dog in the universe for so long.

I'm in a hotel with my two dogs and I lost their food (how?) and so I walked them to 'Dog Mart' thinking it would be such a treat... But it was too far and John is too old and he kept sitting in protest and I had to drag/carry him then we got to 'Dog Mart' and it didn't exist.

Actually, I self-diagnosed and then got a professional assessment. And here's the thing, the professional assessment was expensive and didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. Which is fine, I could afford it, but not everyone can afford it. Self-diagnosis is valid.
