For the second Masters, is there a format where 1st seeds still play the group stage? Skipping straight to playoffs doesn’t feel like much of an advantage in a tournament like this, and I’m sure most 1st seeds would rather play groups. Tournament momentum is real. Now that I’ve experienced both sides, I’d rather play group stage and take the Champ Points and trophy as the real reward for winning our region. I get that Riot only has limited venue days, so I don’t have a clear solution here.

A lot to process right now... So much work was put into our Ascension winning run & we built a program that would've been very competitive next year. Now I have no idea where my team's future lies. Open to talking any potential orgs right now, I'll be a free agent.

We take 2nd place at Masters Bangkok. We fought bravely and showed incredible resilience, but we fell short winning this trophy. Losing is part of life and we just keep on building. I'm proud of how we never gave up. Congrats @T1 , very well played. We will be back.

VCT 2025: Not every season ends on a high note, but it was a good year. There’s a lot to be proud of after a long stretch of remarkable consistency from us, finishing 29-9 (.763 WR) and securing the first ever Americas three-peat of regional trophies 🏆. But our “Golden Era” in 2025 stayed domestic. We didn’t do enough to make it international. We took 2nd at Masters Bangkok, 4th at Masters Toronto, and Top 8 at Champions Paris. It wasn’t the ending we wanted, but it was the one we deserved because champions do more. We faced real adversity in the middle of our season when Leaf went through incredible hardships, and we were forced to live our values: to stay disciplined, to lean on our brotherhood, and to show resilience through it all. Babybay was brought in to revitalize our culture and bring joy back into the game, and the boys learned to play with that fighter’s spirit again. We fell short at Champs, but we’re growing, taking the hits, learning from them, and staying hungry like fighters do. We took too many blows by not being disciplined or assertive in key moments, by not trusting ourselves and relying on each other when it mattered most. We went down to strong opponents, but we’ll get back up and be stronger for our next fight. To all the supporters who had high hopes for us, I’m sorry. I take responsibility for our shortcomings on the international stage. We know we have more to give, and I’ll make sure this entire team, players and staff alike, is aligned and prepared to do it next year. In 2024, we promised to win regional trophies after losing two grand finals. In 2025, we took all three. In 2025, we promised we wouldn’t lose another international grand final like we did at Masters Bangkok. In 2026, as long as we remain disciplined, hungry, humble, and accountable to one another, our promise is to bring home a Masters and a Champions trophy. Merci et au revoir, Paris. A beautiful city that gave us perspective.

A loss was bound to happen, as that's the nature of competition, and in a funny way, it's good that we got it off our back. It'll be tough, but we'll earn our ticket through the tougher road in the lowers. We'll rebound here vs 100T tomorrow.

With the Guard ceasing Valorant operations, can an exception be made to allow us to find an organization for the spot?

One of the biggest goals I set for us this year was securing our long-term place in the league. Lost 1-2 to DRX to end our year We believed to the very end, so I'm proud of the boys for that. GGWP.

Some things I'm proud of and want to recognize from this tournament (I would've shouted these out if I had a post-game interview, so here it is written out as I'm going through my 20-hour travel day): @neT_valorant contributed heavily to the defense calling, assisting with the antistratting and reviewing opponents. He kept the mental strong and the fun banter on LAN 😁 @valynfps excelled at dismantling teams with his calling, helping create pistols and gameplans with me, and leading the team through high-pressure moments, even delivering big time clutches. He kept winning at UNO for some reason 😎 @JonahP_ (playoff P or the professor) was a master at clutching up rounds and setting up plays, and being assertive on the comms. He even ran the final pregame huddle 🎓 @trentFPS always kept the mood light with good comms and consistently closed out matches, even with rough starts. He ended up being the #1 rated player in the tournament while playing fundamentally well 🎯 @texerino called out specific anti-strats against our opponents and consistently delivered openers for us, giving us opportunities to be closers (23 FK - 9 FD in the grand finals!). He put the pressure on his opponents but kept the vibes up. And let's not forget the mishaps on floor 13 👻 Also, we were the only team in the tournament that was able to take a map loss and win a series. We adapted to the tournament conditions and approached things for what they were: just another problem to solve 🧠💪 What I mentioned only scratched the surface of what the team did day to day. I'm glad I was there to support these guys because it's truly a players' game, and they're the ones who have to perform in the server. The job is done, but I honestly wish there was more to do after this season with this special group. All I can do now is reflect and improve on this season's lessons and get ready for the next. Can't wait to show what we can do in VCT 2024! 👊

Welcome @babybay to the team! While we prioritize Leaf's recovery and await his return, we think Andrej can support the team with what they need most now. Leaf brought up the vibes during games and Babybay was able to perfectly replicate that energy with the guys. With Babybay having worked as a caster and analyst over the past year, he demonstrated a deep understanding of opposing teams' playstyles and knowledge of the game that impressed us. This scene still has tons of talented players, so never count someone out just because they're not currently on a team. Making a decision like this is never as simple as one might think, there is so much to consider. Like with any choice our team makes, we believe in our actions and hope you can cheer for Babybay while Leaf recovers. In the meantime, it's 7 AM and the SMEAG is back
