Doing some number crunching for a story ahead of UIL realignment next week. Just finished breaking down the Houston-area schools that will be in Class 6A.
» Seven schools are moving up to 6A during this realignment: Manvel, Goose Creek Memorial, Wisdom, Fulshear, Foster, Magnolia and Magnolia West.
» The school with the largest decrease in enrollment from the 2022-24 realignment numbers was Westfield (-29.19%). The school with the largest increase in enrollment was Fulshear (+37.13%).
» There are seven schools with enrollment numbers of 4,000-plus: Conroe (5,282), The Woodlands (4,523), North Shore (4,535.5), MacArthur (4,073.5), Deer Park (4,066), Elsik (4,045) and Klein Cain (4,023).
» Once again, Conroe is the fourth-largest school in the state behind Allen (6,947), Plano East (5,346) and Plano West (5,337.5). Conroe saw an 11.78% increase in enrollment from the 2022-24 realignment.
