First, most of these expulsions occurred in climates where all citizens were asked to convert to a single religion and the Jews had the strongest backbone and wouldn't cave in.
Second, many people were bothered by the notion that Jews considered themselves the "chosen nation." For obvious reasons this incited people but for Jews, that notion was a passive one.
Third, for whatever reason, Jews in general have tended to be super successful in business, science, and other fields. This bothered people.
In olden times there were no democracies, or "equality under the law". This is a fairly novel ideal created by America 250 years ago. Numerous other ethnic groups have been wiped out over the centuries for not conforming to the ways of their mother country. This is why having a Jewish state is so essential.
Last, this idiotic question you ask would be equal to asking "Why every country used to enslave black people. Was every country racist? Or was it really the blacks fault?" You fuckin ignoramus.
All this talk about Jews lately, what I can't get my head around is why they have been kicked out of 109 countries. What was the main reason this happened in all those countries? Were they all just ignorant anti-semites?

How does the legislature not understand this?
1. There is very little or no incentive for landlords to maintain or even ENHANCE one hundred year old dilapidated buildings
2. Any buyout that is consummated with an RS tenant is MUTUALLY agreed to. In many instances, life changing money for the tenant.
3. More rent roll equals more RE Property Tax Revenue for the government
4. It is having the opposite effect on housing supply because of the warehousing of vacant RS units and this is causing Free Market rate apartment rents to skyrocket
5. They are ignoring the plethora of industries that get hurt from these laws. Not just “big bad landlords”. Because of a dip in transactions lawyers, brokers, architects, contractors, engineers, environmental inspectors, construction workers, title guys, property managers, property maintenance, accountants, and lenders all get hurt!
I’m all for tightening of oversight into harassment and other horrible forms of landlords coercing RS tenants into surrender agreements. I think it’s very necessary. But the current conditions cripple everyone. I have RS tenants that are begging to be bought out right now but we have zero incentive to do so. Everyone is getting hurt.
Someone needs to educated these people.
