ALT 4 panels - Gandalf looking left at monitor one and right at monitor 2. "Where is the cursor?"
The cursor (captioning a screenshot from jurassic park): Stay absolutely still - his vision is based on movement
ALT Two loading bars loading at the same time - on top is a normal 2D rectangle stuttering as the loading progresses. On the bottom, that same loading bar is now in 3d and it's apparent that that loading bar is actually more like a squiggle, and every stutter is the loading bar walking through the curve behind the scenes that was not visible in 2D
ALT A picture of someone playing Tetris. Two side by side images captioned 9am and 5pm - a bar dropping down into and obvious slot in the Tetris grid which should clear a few rows. An arrow pointing to the bar saying "the one thing I need to do today". In the second image, the bar has missed the slot and is stacked on top of everything else
ALT A post on the PC master race subreddit with a picture and the question "Anyone know what type of port this? I was thinking Ethernet but it's too small"
The photo is of a land line phone jack
ALT A post on reddit, with Batman interrogating someone saying "Why is Windows installed in the C drive? Where are the A and B drives?"
Below, a picture of Obi Wan has been appended, with the caption "B drive - now that's a name I haven't heard in years"
ALT 4 panel cartoon - a green man digging through a treasure chest. "I've finally found it, after 15 years", he begins. "The documentation!" he finishes with a flourish, whipping a scroll out of the chest to read it. It says "To Do, fill this out with more details later.". "Nyeah!!" he says with disgust, throwing away the scroll

Little thing in Win 11 22H2 - you can now change the volume by scrolling a mouse wheel on the volume icon
ALT A gif showing just that. The gif was taking on my Dev Channel PC, so shows the watermark with the latest Dev Channel build number, but that's just because it's the PC I had handy
I made a comment on Reddit about how the colour filters feature in Windows can help out if you're colourblind, and all afternoon people have been reaching out to me with replies like this <3
ALT A comment on Reddit:
Holy crap. I'm colorblind and just found this feature because of your post here.
I went from "strong protanoptia" to "normal color vision" in online cb testing.
I work with computer systems including HMIs and have always felt disadvantaged with imperfect color vision.
You've just changed my life.
ALT Screenshot of twitter conversation. One person says "Can anyone suggest some free software for editing PDFs?". Someone replies saying "No offense, but you're a programmer. How hard would it be to create a program that does what you need? Not really motivating when an experienced professional programmer asks about a simple app task that should be able to be created easily"
ALT 3 panel comic - titled "when you try to choose a meaningful variable name"
Man sitting along in a park. Man sitting alone thinking at a dinner table. Man standing alone with his arms behind his back thinking at the end of a driveway
ALT 4 panel comic
"Hello, tech support? The server is down." says a man on the phone.
"Okay, I'll take care of it" replies a man on the other end. He gets up and walks into another panel, where a sad looking server sits.
The man pats the server's head and says "Don't be down, server. We all think you're doing a great job and everyone likes you". The server blushes and smiles, looking happier now
ALT Two panel meme. A woman is being interviewed - the person holds out two "photos" to her.
Corporate has asked you to find the differences between this picture and that picture.
One picture says "Times I have used REGEX". The other says "Times I have had to learn REGEX"
The woman looks straight into the camera and says "They're the same picture"
ALT A door floating on a wall high above a staircase - you'd have to jump to go through and would probably injury yourself leaving. An arrow points to the door, saying "I don't know why there is there but I'm scared to delete it"

Did you know that if you hold CTRL it will pause Task Manager updating, which means the process names don't move around and are easier to select when you're sorted by resource usage? π
Works in both Windows 10 & 11
ALT A random screenshot of task manager (which I happen to use in dark theme)
ALT A cartoon still of a woman fiddling with hardware parts of some sort of computer. It says "I'm fine as long as I'm constantly distracted". The still may be from the serial lain anime
One of the guys I work with left Microsoft on Friday, and his parting gift was to send off a PR to fix something that had been bothering him for a year in another's team's code
ALT Someone pulling a sword out of a sheath. "Yes" is visible inscribed on the sword. He finishing pulling the sword out. "Yesterday I got pulled into an unrelated investigation" is the full inscription
ALT It's a post from Reddit, showing a screenshot of someone's harddrives on Windows. They've renamed C: drive to be "happy face hard drive" and D: drive to be "sad dace hard drive". The title of the Reddit post is "Closed mouth face hard drive (I:)"
ALT Three comics
1) a man (captioned int *) pointing at int with an expression of, oh, look at this
2) a new man (captioned int **) has now been added to the original image, pointing at the first man - he too has an expression of "look here"
3) A picture of a man pointing at a black hole. He seems to have seen terrible things. He is captioned "void *"
