Lane Kiffin, with the guidance from his father Monte, hired Clay Helton to be the quarterbacks coach at USC in 2010. According to Kiffin, Helton was sleeping on the couch in his Arkansas State office at the time.

Dexter Williams II (@Dex5Will) said a couple coaches came to him before Georgia Southern's game against Marshall. They told him that he had prepared the right way, and assured him he was ready if his opportunity came.
That opportunity came with 6:45 left in the game, while in a three-score hole at 23-5.
On his very first snap, Williams II completed a 34-yard pass to LV Bunkley-Shelton - the longest play up to that point in the game for the Eagles.
Williams II went on to complete 10 of 14 passes for 135 yards, with one rushing touchdown and one passing touchdown. He led his team to one of the greatest comebacks in program history.
It's a reminder of how grateful he is to play the game of football. Williams II underwent two knee surgeries in the span of three years while at Indiana. His experiences before coming to Statesboro puts his current role in perspective.
This was Williams' thoughts postgame on being thankful for any opportunity along the way.

STORY: It's hard not to root for a guy like Marc Stampley II (@Marc_Stampley).
Stampley was born in New Orleans, but his family was forced to move to Georgia following Hurricane Katrina. He flourished in Peachtree City as a prep athlete, and is now spending his college days in Statesboro.
