ICYMI - last week we dropped Heavener Definitive, which is functionally a deluxe version of the album. Shortly after the release of Heavener last year, we felt the record deserved to be complimented in the form of brand new songs, not just B sides. During the writing process, we took what we felt made Heavener special and melted it all down into Sleepless Deathbed, How We Used To Say Goodbye, the reimagined version of Without A Whisper, and the self titled track Heavener. Although this was an unconventional path for a deluxe release, we felt it deserved the same intentional writing and creative energy as the original. We hope the record sits well with all of you as we continue to observe and appreciate what a special chapter it has become for us.

Hey all. As some of you may know, we got burnt pretty hard last week on our way to start tour.
A routine maintenance was performed incorrectly by a mechanic and left us with a half destroyed drivetrain. With the compounding expenses of repairs and logistics necessary to make the first weeks of tour, we have arrived at the largest financial pinch of our careers.

In what felt like a blink of an eye, The Heavener Tour is finished. This was a celebration of Invent Animate’s lifespan thus far. Birthing as a local band from the southeast corner of Texas, growing into a globally connected team - we finally got a chance to celebrate it all these past 5 weeks.
We owe the world to our crew. Marcus at FOH continued to make us sound better than ever while simultaneously playing a role in making the rest of the day run smoothly. Matt tagged along for merch and media, making us look cooler than we are. We got our asses saved last minute when Stephen flew in mid tour to get us from point A to B, and also by Jake filling in for Caleb when he had to leave to get his health sorted. Our team on the backend with booking and management made the tour seamless for us.
We put faith in 3 bands from around the world to support us for our first headlining tour, and we believe we ended up with one of the coolest lineups of the year. Void of Vision, Thrown and Aviana all stepped in and helped us every single day. Whether it was loading in, teching guitars or breaking down drums, someone from the tour was ALWAYS there to help, which is such a rare and valuable dynamic.
Lastly but most importantly, our fans showed up for us as they always do. Every one of you who supported the tour made it magical for us. Each show was beautiful and special in its own way and as a result, we’ll remember this tour for the rest of our lives.

To answer some questions
- the merch will be available for the rest of the week, then the orders will be printed and shipped in the following 2 weeks!
- no, we won’t miss any shows!
- the original mechanic is denying liability for the damage, while the new mechanic says it’s almost impossible that it wasn’t the first mechanics fault.
- it’s a bummer but we won’t be pursuing legal action after consulting with some lawyers. It’d be 2+ years of litigation for a CHANCE at winning a fraction of the damages back.
- there will not be a “gofundme” as we are nearly recouped for all of the expenses we took on, and we generally just prefer to offer some sort of value in return for your support.
All that matters is that nobody was hurt when we could have been, and we’re back on the road - didn’t miss a beat.
