The 4 is Polestar's first model built on Zeekr's SEA platform. The result is a car that's slightly less focused and precise, but one that's superior tech-wise.
Is it the most effective combination of Swedish beauty and Chinese tech? Link below👇
Seems those who have been given access to the #Xiaomi SU7 already are not the kind of people you should trust with your brand new motor. Yet another example of one being binned before deliveries even began has surfaced.
CATL just announced the second-gen Shenxing LFP battery capable of 12C charging and 800km of range. Peak power of over 1.3mWh, adding 520km in 5 minutes!
CATL just showed off their new Sodium-ion battery's safety credentials, crushing it with a blunt object, penetrating it with a 9mm nail, drilling it, and literally cutting it in half with a cutting disc.
Just been to the foot of Banshan in Hangzhou to check out in person what's going on at these so-called car graveyards where supposedly brand new Chinese cars are being sent to die as some kind of incentive laundering scam.
I'll put out a video this week on what I found.
It's such a shame that BMW have binned this car. Not only is it the most 2023-looking car they have but it's absolutely the most appropriate car for this century. Too smart and handsome to be culled without a replacement.
🚨Breaking news🚨
Potentially massive news if true, but this account states that Chery is in the final stages of acquiring Maserati from Stellantis.
Stellantis has been rumoured to be looking at offloading some brands and this could be the first domino.
First official images of the Zeekr 9X are out. Can see exactly why they call it the Hangzhou Bay Cullinan, it's got massive 'F-you' vibes. Huge chrome grille, edgy styling, big presence. If you like the 009, I think you'll like this.
More images in the second Xcretion.
This is your first look at the new Renault Twingo... before you're meant to see it.
Images of the new sub-£17,000 EV city car have leaked online ahead of the car’s reveal on 6 November.
As cool as the original?
CATL today launched 3 game-changing battery technologies including an LFP pack that charges at 12C, 1.3MW speeds, a sodium-ion battery packing 175Wh/kg energy density, and a Dual-Power dual-chemistry battery offering up to 1500km of range.

Another day, another new Chery brand, this time spinning out their QQ model into a line of its own.
This is the QQ Qurio Concept, and it looks pretty neat, despite looking like the sloth from Zootopia.
A competitor for funky cars like the smart #1 on the face of things.
The new @XPengMotors P7 is here and, well, this is quite something. Finally we get something genuinely out there, really rather unique and futuristic. This will certainly turn heads on the street. Very curious what it'll offer to drive and inside.
XPeng P7 Static video drops in just over 10 hours.

It's pretty cool.
Not sure how official or real these pictures are but they seem to give a pretty accurate idea of the upcoming Li MEGA MPV, which looks more incredible the more you look at it. Roadgoing bullet train.
The @Xiaomi YU7 has been launched with a starting price of RMB 253,500 (£25,750 / $35,350).
Boasting a max range of 835km (CLTC) and 0-100kph time of 3.23 seconds, the YU7 looks set to battle the Tesla Model Y for best-selling EV SUV in China.

Introducing, Little Miss Inside China Auto.
As this little beauty has now entered my life, I'll be taking a break from here for a week. Hope yours will be as wonderful and magical as mine. ✌️
If somebody mocks something up that's this good, I think the brand is legally obliged to make it, right? @XPengMotors Do what's right and make the P7 Targa.
Seven new Chinese cars tested by @EuroNCAP, all seven, even the tiny little BYD Seagull which was modified for Europe, got the full five stars.
People still going round saying they're unsafe.
🧵1/2
Guess there might be a reason the top dog in China chooses Hongqi for his presidential cars, though admittedly 'attack by enormous flaming mace' and 'trebuchet a Changan Alto' would be surprise tactics from any would-be assasins.
Well that was fast. This image sadly represents what seems to be left of Jiyue's hopes of survival, which will make my 07 review likely the last ever recorded of this brilliant car. They're basically all but confirmed as being the next Chinese auto brand on the scrap heap. Shame.
Bumper round of EuroNCAP results in and, guess what? That's right, all 8 Chinese cars tested got the full 5 stars. People will keep on throwing shade but these guys are just going to keep on coming.
Just reading that the Denza Z9 has apparently completed the Elk test at 93.6kph. If the official Elk test guys test that and prove it to be true, it won't just beat, it'll utterly annihilate the 25-year old record of 85kph set by *checks notes* the Citroen Xantia. 🤯
Sugar Design has been doing his thing again, taking spyshots of an XPeng-based VW and making it production-ready.
Fair to say this would easily become the most attractive VW you can buy today without any competition. It appears to be based on the new P7 looking at that A-pillar.
We've got some unofficial renders of the new Huawei-backed Maextro brand's S800 saloon. This is intended to be a Maybach-class car, built with JAC, the same guys that made Nio's cars. Suspect the interior will be something else on this. Pictures from Carblueprints.
SU7 and YU7. This looks like a really rather sporty SUV, I'm curious how big it will be in real life in terms of cabin space. Fair to say though, this will be a sales smash hit next year.
3am and I'm watching Wales v England with @JayinShanghai in the @XPengMotors G9. Quite a novel experience I must say, and the heated seats are a treat with it being so cold outside.
Official images of XPeng's eighth model, the G7 SUV, have surfaced online ahead of an expected MIIT filings reveal later this week.
There are no official details about the new model yet so we've put together what we can expect on our website.👇

🚨New Video Alert🚨
@XPengMotors needed to finally pull all their promise together and with the G9 they've done just that. It's luxurious, smart, well-equipped, and as well as adding a tonne of flair it gets the basics right too. The best XPeng by far.👇

Schumacher was guilty of a few transgressions in his time but at the furthest point across the track that he got, there's clearly more than a car's width to his right there. The only thing he's guilty of here is successful intimidation.
Tesla is NOT the biggest loser from BYD's announcement.
Every so-called "expert" is chiming in with this narrative and it's wrong.
The losers are Toyota, VW, Nissan, the mainstream brands in China that can't even offer highway autonomous driving on very average products.
Face-to-face, finally, with the XPeng Land Aircraft Carrier and the flying module.
Reckon we can cobble together a couple of hundred thousand dollars to buy one for filming videos?
Such a mad idea but it looks brilliant. Lot of X9 inspiration in the lines. I'd fly one.
AVATR's XPECTRA concept has been revealed ahead of its debut at the Munich Auto Show. It's enormous, at 5,843mm long, 2,132mm wide, and with a wheelbase of 3,450mm. It carries the tag 'Emotive luxury'. Looks a bit like a greenhouse on wheels.

We decided to go and check out a 'Chinese EV graveyard' in person to check out claims made in recent YouTube videos and viral posts about new car registration fraud and car sharing failures.
Our short video shows you what we found.👇

Quick look at the new BYD Seal 06 GT, a car BYD are very adamant is a car for Europe, not so much for China. Stylish hatch profile, right in Europe's wheelhouse. Some nervous faces at Stellantis and VW right now.
📰New story
Huawei has pulled the covers off the Maextro S800, a new model from an all-new brand in the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. Made together with JAC, it's coming for the Maybach in 2025 and looks a formidable beast.

Anybody remember when everyone was talking about the Luxeed S7 being the hottest Chinese car of 2024? Arguably better looking than the Xiaomi SU7 (not seen the SU7 in person yet) but haven't seen or heard anything more about it until seeing this one in store today.
Reports in China suggest Stellantis and Leapmotor have pulled out of plans to build a factory in Poland, likely on the orders of the government in response to Poland's heavy backing of EU tariffs on Chinese-made EVs. Alternative locations are Germany and Slovakia.
Corrected:
If this data is correct, and generally these guys are pretty accurate, extrapolated to a 30 day month and boosted a little for end of month growth, Tesla might be down at around 29,000 China sales in April, a 63% MoM drop, and 8% YoY.

We're only five-and-a-half hours away from bringing you the first review of the Zeekr MIX. You're going to want to tune in because this car could shake things up in a great way for families. Frankly, it's the Scenic Renault should have made.
Let the countdown begin.
Grounds for China to announce the immediate closure of all Ford, GM, and Tesla factories in China with immediate effect I'd say. End the gravy train, even if it's already starting to run low for some.
US finalizes rules banning Chinese tech in connected cars
The US has finalized rules to crack down on Chinese and Russian tech in connected cars, effectively banning smart cars from both countries from entering the US market. cnev.co/HpMVbQP 👇
MG Cyberster not really light or traditional enough for you? Well the MG 7, standard ICE powertrain, might fit the bill. Just how good does this thing look in this matte silver wrap?
The @NIOGlobal ET9 is making all the headlines this week, apart from those reserved for firefly, and with good reason. A technological tour de force that will cast a long shadow over the Maybach on ability.

Official pictures of the Stelato S9T have been released as China's rush towards estate cars continues unabated. Stelato is one of four Huawei-backed HIMA brands and the S9 is currently their only model.
XPeng's P7+ has hit the market with quite a bang, racking up 30,000 pre-orders within two hours of being launched. Alongside the MONA M03, which has had an equally fervent reception, the P7+ could push XPeng to 50,000+ monthly sales. Astonishing work. 👇

Spotted the BYD Song L out in Pudong this morning. Looks brilliant, really sharp, racy design. This could be BYD's coming of age moment in terms of design. It's their best-looking model by far in my opinion.
First look at the Zeekr 9X super SUV. High chance this will get CATL's second-gen Shenxing battery with 1.3mW charging and 520km range from a 5-minute charge. That's my prediction if there's an EV version of it given Zeekr's launch of the 1.2mW charging stations.
Baojun, essentially one of China's cheapest car makers, has revealed their Tianyu four-wheel intelligent drive technology that can rotate each wheel 90-degrees for sideways parking, spinning on the spot, and more.
True tech democratisation.👇

This is a new "rapid charger" installed in the UK and shared on LinkedIn by a UK journalist.
Note the speed, 60kW.
With pretty much all Zeekr models, you can charge OTHER cars with V2V at a speed of 60kW.
How the hell is a brand new 60kW charger still acceptable in the UK?
Drove the Xiaomi YU7 today and was able to spend a bunch of time with it.
We're able to share impressions without revealing specs, no pictures or video too, so here's what I can say ahead of the full video coming out on the 26th.🧵
When the biggest talking point about a new car is the return of indicator stalks, you have to wonder if the word 'new' is really justified. Resting on your laurels like this is only acceptable in the rest of the world.
Well this is interesting. The brand that brought us the A100, the angry pink rebody of a Changan Lumin Corn in pic 4, has shown a new concept called the iSee.
A little bit Purosangue, a little bit Zeekr 007GT, a little bit Denza Z9, all rolled into one. Looks pretty cool.
Can't say more until the embargo is up but probably the hardest day of filming I've ever done today. Throwing up all night, no sleep, other things you don't want to know on here, but I made it and I can die happily in my hotel bed now. Utterly deflated. See you in the morning.
