Last week, a San Diego cop saw me giving out tents and bragged that he can throw them out faster than I can give them out. Well, he might be right, but that's not going to stop me from trying to help people.

Tents help but this is better.
I gave Brandy a tent and some other supplies after the City threw her belongings out recently. Shortly after, with the help of @LaPrensaSD, @amie_zamudio got her into her hotel program. Help her out if you can.

Father Joe's called police on a young man sleeping in front of their homeless shelter this morning. Wants to press charges for trespassing when he won't get up.
Brandy was crying after they threw her belongings away. The tent, blankets and other supplies perked her up a little. But, the modest hotel room has her feeling much better. Help her stay for awhile and try to get back on her feet.

I was there when the cops tried to arrest Ms C, an elderly Black woman who they had already given tickets to for being on the sidewalk. Another GoFundMe to do what the City won't.

Cops giving people tickets even when they want a shelter bed. Makes no sense and proves that Mayor @toddgloria is not telling the truth about offering shelter before enforcement.
"You are so weird man"
Police officer who goes around collecting shopping carts and giving out tickets for being homeless thinks I'm strange and weird. Go figure.

BREAKING: Yesterday, about 20 unsheltered residents of Harborside Park in Chula Vista filed a preliminary injunction in Federal Court to keep the City from evicting them with no place to go. Press event today at 10 a.m. @Cutecooper2 is leading the charge.
I ran into Councilmember Whitburn out at a homeless sweep today. I watched for a long time while he stayed on the other side of the street away from the people. So I asked if he planned on speaking to any of the people that would be impacted by his camping ban.
Had a lot of questions about where are the police to stop this. Ha! The police oversee the entire operation. The three on the left are the main officers in charge of carrying out the operation.
Mayor @ToddGloria out on the street doing a press event when a man comes up and starts going through the trash can next to him probably looking for food. The Mayor doesn't miss a beat and just ignores him instead of asking if he needs some help. #ForAllOfUs
The cancellation of @HolidayBowl is extremely disappointing to all involved. I’m grateful to @padres and all who worked to make sure @PetcoPark and #SanDiego was prepared to shine in front of a national audience tonight. The game may be off but our city’s greatness stays on.
Chula Vista is the second largest city in the county and it doesn't have a homeless shelter. Now, it's evicting unsheltered people from a park who have no where to go.

Yesterday, I witnessed asylum seekers getting dumped at a homeless shelter in San Diego by the organization paid to shelter and help them. How is this fair to homeless people who need those beds or the asylum seekers who need different services?
I was just threatened with arrest for going in the Sports Arena parking lot to give people drinks and snacks. The cop said the head of security pictured here wants me off their property.
