This year, I've reached out to more than 30 organizations to try to explain the benefits of having a Data Analyst on their team (in addition to having been an in-game analyst myself for years). I've only received rejections (insufficient budget) or complete silence.
The easy access to data in CS2 allows for any type of data collection and subsequent processing to draw conclusions objectively. There are various applications out there that help a little, but if every professional team uses them, what advantage are you gaining over your rival? Hiring data analysts allows, for example, for the creation of unique tools dedicated to addressing a team’s specific weaknesses without having to share them with anyone else.
Soon, an article will be published featuring a brief analysis of some NAVI players as an introduction to data analysis.
Hopefully, more teams will want to invest in this in the near future🙏
