Successful turnouts like Monster stack prove you don’t need re-entry to have big prizepools. Every weekend doesn’t need to be a money grab with every pro entering 4x and the recs having even less of a shot at a bracelet.

I love @aliImsirovic but do we not see a problem with RE @WSOP when one of the best players in the world is able to enter 7 times into a single event and ends up winning? Amateur players have no shot at beating the best multiple times in these fields.

As much as I am very much against these sub 1k buy ins increasing year over year @WSOP it is important to note that growth in the industry is happening at that level and you can’t blame a business for targeting the price point most likely to suceeed.

The skill gap in NL increasingly is becoming wider. It’s important long term to protect the eco system and give these guys a chance at the glory as it’s already hard enough to get through the pros once, let alone 2-3-4x ect entries per pro.

Couldn’t diasagree more. Creating more variance in NL cash games is a must. The game has a stale and boring format when played w/o an ante or 3rd blind. Anything that creates action and gets people stuck(which is great for games) is always always always a good thing!
