Update on #VCTEMEA
The best players want to win, and winning teams attract the best talent. For 2025, we made @MovistarKOI our priority, allocating budget and resources to build a winning team. Unfortunately, the damage from the past and the negative culture that was established by previous owners have made players hesitant to join, and many are choosing to go elsewhere.
Given the latest developments, we’ve decided to focus on building a winning culture first. To be competitive, we need to change the perception. That’s why we’re moving our teams to a larger, significantly upgraded facility in Berlin. We’re also launching a program to develop and onboard new talent in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 VALORANT, with a focus on team culture and synergy to compete at the highest level.
It’s clear that some people still don’t recognize the new ownership of this team, and we’re still dealing with the fallout from the previous administration’s mistakes. Our priority is to rebuild trust and reestablish our name.
I understand this might be disappointing for some. We’ve been called a “Tier F” team before, but we’ve done great work with so-called “Tier F” teams in the past.
Trust the process—we will rise again. Believe.

A great first split. We played 14 games in 3 days. G2 played 4. The team was running on fumes by the end but we still played G2 closely and grabbed a map. We learned that we can play and beat these guys. Many lessons for the spring split. This isn’t the end.

On yesterday’s #LEC broadcast, @sjokz mentioned some surprise at us choosing @GIANTXGG for the event.
There should be no surprise.
We wanted to choose the best teams for the LEC Road Trip. Giants is one of the oldest orgs in esports. @JoseGIANTX started it in 2008. Excel, their merger partner, entered LEC the same year we did in 2019. Our first ever LEC match was against XL.
They had a great first split as GIANTX and showed up big for this event with their buses, their instruments, and their fans. We could not have asked for better guests.
Looking forward to a banger match today.

There’s been a lot of speculation, but I’m not going to confirm or deny anything right now.
For the CDL, we simply can’t sustain the contracts we have. They were made under different circumstances in the prior CDL model, and the best path forward is to reset and let everyone explore their options.
Our players have been incredibly cooperative. We lowered buyouts dramatically to give them the freedom to choose their next steps, and many have already done so. We also face some unique challenges here in Canada, like exchange rates and taxes, but it’s all part of living in this incredible city and country.
Our organization has a proud history of success. We’ve consistently invested in the ecosystem with top-tier coaches, facilities, live events, and of course, our amazing fans—who I seem to meet wherever I go.
For those disappointed by changes in the roster, I ask that you trust us. Over six years, we’ve delivered unforgettable moments and we’ve learned that giving players flexibility is key to long-term success.
We’re gearing up for an incredible year of CoD in Toronto, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Texas was awarded Champs at the beginning of the year. In the worst case they might not have qualified. In the best case they win. I’m happy that they won in front of their home crowd. We wanted to win at Major III in front of our crowd too. We don’t live in a fairy tale and winning is f’ing HARD!
