Here's my review and experience on NFTs for the past two weeks.
I joined the NFT space not quite long ago. Let's say two weeks now.
The experience has been amazing so far.
It has been a process of learning, profits, losses, getting liquidated, and most importantly, attaining knowledge.
For me, getting knowledge is basic in every space and niche. And I'm learning by experience 😌. Tough.
My first thought on NFTs was: quick money.
I wasn't wrong, though. But I wasn't right either. NFTs are way beyond quick money. Sometimes, you even make losses
I'm not an expert with NFTs, infact I don't think I know shi. I'm just trying to find my way in this space.
Most people are here for burger money, as
@Trappwurld would say. while some are here for the long term of the project.
While there are some quick money NFTs, there are still some long-term yield NFTs: like first movers on a particular chain, good narrative, utility, and Community driven NFTs. Btw most NFTs are driving by community.
If you're a newbie in this space, I most likely will recommend mentorship and solid knowledge on whatever niche you're into.
Learn from the best 👌. From those who've gotten the first hand experiences so you won't make mistakes and learn with bad experiences.
There is a lot to NFTs tbh. I might write ✍️ a thread on NFTs someday because NFTs are part of Defi.
These are my personal experiences with NFTs so far.
1. My first mint was good 😌 Made some burger money off it. Obviously, it was a bugger mint.
2. The second was a rug by the devs. Botted mint plus rug on HyperEVM 🤧. I made no money of it, lost my gas fee 😂
3. The third was on BRC 2.0. Btc mints are usually high, except a mint price from $12 and above.
It was a good mint. spent about $21 on the mint and made a total of $102
I was so happy 😊 until my third fourth and fifth mint 😳
4. The fourth was on HyperEVM. I was hyped. A lot of people expected a good cook. I wasn't on the WL, but I thought to myself I couldn't miss this, so positioned for fcfs mint.
A lot of things happened that I wasn't aware of. The devs changed from a free mint on WL to a paid mint 😢 gas was increased. Me waiting patiently to mint, not knowing people had sidelined the project because they were not transparent. I minted and lost $9 on that one. They never launched to date. Devs kept silent, and that was how my precious gas fee was lost 😳.
5. The fifth was also on BRC 2.0. I was super excited because I made some bucks on BRC 2.0. I decided to max mint with my full chest 🤧 only to come back battered.
This one didn't cook. My honest take on this was that the devs were there for the mint fees. It was a good collection, btw. But the devs were not bullish on their own project. No work was put into making it a successful collection. No partnership, no fomo, no bullish support, and that was how it went. I max minted with $85
I regretted. I lost my money because I didn't have proper knowledge. 😮💨
I'm only happy I learned a lot about NFTs. I did my research. Studied about NFTs. Learnt how to spot the bullish ones and the scam ones. I've also been closely paying attention to handels like
@Trappwurld 🫡.
