When Lady passed, there were a few photos and videos that we hadn’t shared with our followers yet. This is a video that was never posted, but we thought it would be nice to share it with you now in honor of the last day of Lady’s Commemorative Online Auction. Scott and Lady stood in the heavy downpour together. Scott wanted to show everybody that the elephants are totally unbothered by booming thunder, and Lady proves this toward the end of the video when thunder rolls and she continues happily grazing. Lady enjoyed the rain and all of the lovely mud that it made. Thunder simply means that good things are coming! Our online auction that is being held in Lady’s honor ends today. The small selection of items in our auction memorialize Lady’s transformation, strength, spirit, and her impact on our community and mission. Bidding will stop at 7 pm CDT. Tribute donations made on the auction page and proceeds from the items will directly support our ongoing work at Elephant Sanctuary Brazil. View the auction here: bit.ly/Ladys-Auction
