🇩🇪Foreign Minister Wadephul, currently travelling in the Americas, announced that Germany is ramping up its assistance, both in disaster response & hum’n aid for #Venezuela to more than $15M (€13.7M). These funds go to a variety of partners, including NGOs, UN, RedCross. 1/6 🧵

2/6 To provide rapid assistance to #earthquake victims in #Venezuela, it is crucial to join forces with international partners. Germany supports flexible multilateral funds able to mobilize resources in a coordinated manner: this is efficient and fast. 🧵

3/6 After the earthquake, Germany provided an additional $5M to the #Venezuela Humanitarian Fund @OCHA_Venezuela @OCHAFunds to help with the response. A large part of VHF funds go directly to national responders. 🧵
