#OpenSource Ethos 🔓 #Cardano $ADA family! We are proud to officially announce that we will be open-sourcing the smart contracts used in the Genius Yield Dex! A smart contract is a self-executing agreement with terms between the buyer and seller written into code. Details👇 👉 Currently, our DEX uses a single order type: limit orders that can be partially filled, and market orders. These limit orders are created using a smart contract that ensures users' money is safe. The smart contract guarantees that the assets are locked in and only released if the user cancels the order or if a buyer pays the correct price. This smart contract defines the "rules of the game," and each time a user places an order, they entrust their assets to this smart contract. 📖 Therefore, making the source code of that smart contract available is imperative. If we expect users to entrust the smart contract with their money without being able to see it, it's akin to asking someone to sign a contract without allowing them to read it first. For technical reasons, to keep track of the "life cycle" of an order on our DEX, we also deploy special NFTs. For each order, there is an NFT minted when the order is created and burnt when the order is completely filled or canceled. These NFTs are defined by a "minting policy" (another smart contract), which is carefully coordinated with the main order smart contract. We are open-sourcing both the order "validator" smart contract and the NFT "minting policy" smart contract. 🧐 While both of these smart contracts have undergone audits in the past, we made changes during the testnet. Therefore, both of these smart contracts are undergoing a second audit. At the end of these audits, we will open-source the contracts under license. Thank you for your support! 🔥Market Maker Bots Are Now Open-Sourced 🔥 We've had a lot of questions lately about liquidity providing and our plans to increase it. To address this liquidity challenge, we have developed market maker bots (MMBs) that will work in tandem with our Smart Order Routers: MMBs will continuously place buy and sell orders at different price points, creating a more liquid and efficient trading environment. These MMBs are now open-sourced, so this tool will be in the hands of the community. 🚀 Market maker bots are for Liquidity Providers (LPs) that are tired of losing out because of Impermanent Loss on DEXs that utilize AMM pools. 📊 Market making strategies are what is commonly used in traditional finance to maintain liquidity on a CEX and allow LPs to earn yield on their liquidity. 🧠 Market making is significantly more capital efficient since your liquidity is concentrated at the market price, instead of spread across the entire price range like an AMM. As a liquidity provider you also no longer have to be exposed to both sides of a token pair. For example, in an AMM pool you must supply 50% of token A and B and the smart contract of the pool is forced to sell the appreciating token for the depreciating one to keep the 50-50 worth relation between both tokens. That's why one experiences Impermanent Loss. The current AMM rewards models for LP are not sustainable, and farming rewards often fail to compensate for the losses. Market making Genius on Genius Yield’s DEX is much more flexible and allows LPs to have full control of their risk and reward potential. 1) Provide one-sided liquidity: configure your bot to only sell or buy token A, you don't need to get exposed to the other token if you don't want to. 2) Maintain a BUY/SELL spread: Set your BUY orders always lower than your SELL orders and grow your liquidity via arbitrage (not possible on DEXs that use AMM Pools!) 3) Custom MM strategies: Create your own strategy such as DCA, and trigger trades based on financial indicators. Active LPs will be able to outsmart the market and generate gains while feeding the order book with liquidity to regular users. 4) The ADA within limit orders remains available for both voting and staking with an SPO. 🥳 AYE!!! Accelerated Yield Program V2!! We’re happy to announce a new version of our Accelerated Yield Program #AYE to reward liquidity providers and traders! 🐣 Since the program’s inception, we aim to provide an exceptional trading experience on our #DEX by rewarding the most active users... 🧐🩴 However, it appeared some were gaming the system which necessitated an update to the AYE rules. Going forward, we make rewards dependent on price and not only on volume. We want the event to bring useful liquidity at a price that makes trading more pleasant, fast, cheap and convenient for everybody, i.e. at prices close to the market price. So to determine the number of rewards, we look at: ✅ the trade’s volume ✅ type of order (limit order creators earn more!) ✅ apply an “anti-whale exponent”🐳 ✅ apply the new price weighting factor. Examples: 🎯For a trade executed at the market price, no changes. 🔔For a trade 1% above or below the market price, the score will be slightly (0.5%) lower than before. ⚠️ A trade 10% above or below the market price has a weight of 60.7%, so scores for fills at that price will be diminished by ~40%. ⛔️ Trades 30% above or below the market price have a weight of 1.1%, so the score will be reduced by almost 99%. 🔔 The update starts to be effective today - Monday, 11th of March, 2024. 😊 We hope that this amendment will be warmly welcomed by our #Cardano community and improve the #trading experience on our DEX.
