Movie Sonic Face rigging going well - think that's most of the brow issues sorted. The eye mesh tends to clip through the head a tiny bit in certain places, so I'll need to adjust that a tad. So far, going well. Tackling the mouth is gonna be.. uhh, fun?

with thanks to the amazing efforts of @bsthlc, Classic Sonic for #SonicLostWorld now features a completely custom shadow-model. Since the PC port released, this has been one of the most visually distinct drawbacks of character mods in the game.

Here he is in all his glory. Spent today putting a sidemouth on TSR's mouth mesh.. rather than just slapping the gens mouth mesh on TSR sonic (as it'd ruin the feel of the model imo). I think it turned out really well. Also gave the lad a pair of eyelids, lol

so clean think the blue swirl at the feet here is hidden when the effect plays in-game, as I haven't seen it.. looks nice though - maybe team thought it was verging on being too visually noisy?

RT'd LJ's post about this but it's just so interesting.. so, SEGA provided BS with the assets for a presumed earlier version of SC, which includes everything for real-time cutscenes.. but BS just upscaled the Wii video files and tucked these assets away in the pck..

movie sonic from sonic dash.. model looks interesting - would fit a modern game much more than the facebook AR model seeing as it's more stylised. I'll still be using the AR model for the 06 mod though.

some experimenting on doing hair physics for miku.. if we get an hkx import/export plugin for blender which retains correct scaling from the original anims would be awesome to see this ingame (this one in particular doesn't have much scaling, but cutscenes have a good amount)

in the game, chip has a bunch of morph-targets to animate his mouth, thanks to a blender plugin called HEIO we modders now have the ability to export custom morph-targets for our own mods. The gist of it is that you create the mouth pose by moving vertices aroud (1/2)

Was rummaging around in the JP PS4 demo files for #SonicForces and found an unused stage - looks to be an early version of Lost Valley, unfortunately there's no set files for the stage, but here it is ported to the PC version..

hope we get more 'spooky' levels in sonic games. Mystic Mansion was such a wild trip. I loved the look of the short cave sections, as well as the scale the level presented you with when you escaped from the 'house-corridor' areas. Wish we got to explore the garden area too lol

Movie Sonic in 06 progress: gameplay face has been rigged. The mod has been graced with emissive materials by the talented Nonami, who also got the gem colour switching working properly. Lots of hex editing on his part, but it's been a huge help in making the mod look much better
