So what happened to Canna Sapiens?
Where are the product lines?
Where are the stores?
Where’s the progress?
Well...
What if I told you we didn’t have access to our mint funds for more than three months?
Let that sink in.
Not a couple of days.
Not a couple of weeks.
Months.
I won’t get into all the details, because what matters now is our future. But essentially, the funds were locked in a wallet that wasn’t compatible with Abstract ETH, and we had to wait for the EVM equivalence upgrade before we could gain access.
Our team set up the wrong wallet.
The individuals responsible have since been let go from Canna, and that’s that.
There’s no excuse. At this level, something like this simply cannot happen.
We’ve learned our lessons and now we have to move on.
One of the worst parts of all this was that we couldn’t go public about the issue due to security concerns. They were small, but real. We couldn’t risk someone trying to attack the funds.
So we had to keep our lips sealed and did our best to keep building like everything was fine.
When it really wasn’t.
It was so far from fine.
No resources, not being able to come clean either, it took its toll.
We had to make some big sacrifices to keep things going. But we pushed through.
For the last couple of weeks, I couldn’t communicate any updates or talk about next steps because this had to come first. You needed the full context. I couldn’t be honest about where we’re going until I was honest about what we just came through.
Now the funds are recovered. And as suffocating as this darkness has been, I can honestly say… I’m grateful we went through it.
The nightmare forced clarity.
Our original roadmap was bold, but carried far too much risk. This time gave us space to reflect deeply on our vision and avoid some potentially expensive mistakes.
Don’t get me wrong, we’re not abandoning bold moves. In fact, we’ll be encouraging them even more. But first, we need to make sure they’re backed by a foundation that can hold them.
So there are some big pivots ahead in terms of our priorities and investments as we build a much smarter, better, and more ambitious Canna Sapiens.
Next week, I’ll begin to outline what those pivots are, starting with a townhall in Discord on Monday. Can’t wait to share what we’ve been cooking up the last couple of weeks.
I want to give a massive shoutout to the Abstract team for all the support and helping us recover our funds. You’re amazing.
To the tiny circle of people I could confide in, you know who you are. Thank you. Your support meant more than you know.
And to the community holding strong... Hempinos...
Seeing our floor and NFT % listed, despite us not having our funds for this long, so few updates and our hands tied, is a testament to how bright our future is.
I honestly cannot believe we haven’t had 100x more FUD considering the lack of visible progress.
You’re absolute chads.
This is our origin story now, and precisely because it's been so testing, hardfought, and painful, it will make what is to come even sweeter, and more special.
This Canna resilience will one day be the stuff of legend... and it makes me so much more bullish on what we’re going to achieve together.
Funds are recovered. This chapter is closing. The next one starts now.

I know it’s been far too quiet from Canna and myself.
There’s a big story to tell. And soon, you’ll understand why things have been slow.
What I can say for now is this:
The past four months have been the most disempowering, demoralising time I’ve ever had to face. Professionally. Mentally. Morally. Financially. You name it.
Canna and myself were hit by circumstances no one could’ve planned for. Ones I couldn’t go public about for security reasons. I had to act like everything was fine, when it wasn’t.
In hindsight, I should’ve opened up about the immediate consequences of what we were dealing with. To lower short-term expectations around the project’s development. But the truth is… I was simply in shock. For months. From the most unimaginably brutal sucker punch.
But we pulled through.
Scarred, yes. But stronger now.
Much stronger.
The sky is finally clearing, Hempinos.
And Canna is waking up.
I just need a little more time to ground myself before I share the full story. To make sure it’s told the way that it deserves. Because… it’s absolutely insane.

"I’m writing this at 5AM on February 12th.
I'm wide awake, not because I’m anxious, but because I am so incredibly excited and proud.
I’ve given Canna Sapiens my absolute all, I simply could not have given more these last 6 months. I pushed myself to my absolute limits, sacrificed all that I could. This brings me a sense of calm for today.
At the same time, I’m tearing up writing this because this journey with you has reached an incredible milestone, and it's making me very emotional. (If you wanna hear me cry live, make sure to tune into our party space today 😂)
It's crazy. Thank you so much for all the love that we've received from you and for the FUD as well! It's taught me so much.

Whatever the result of today, here’s our future:
Canna Sapiens will become an internationally recognizable cannabis brand and cultural movement, as long as the team and I keep improving - at everything that we do - at the same rate that we have over the last year and a half. From our overall strategy, leadership, community management, to our whole visual identity, everything must improve, and it will. We will not settle for anything less than the utmost passion and excellence in all that we do, as we continue to build.
The plan?
- In less than 4 months, have three up and running retail locations, and launch at least two product lines.
- In less than 6 months, we should be reaching a monthly net profit of at least 40k USD per month from our Web2 revenue streams.
This isn't just some number that I'm dreaming up, we've now had our first store location open for 6 months, we've almost 2x the monthly revenue since our takeover, and we haven't even rebranded it yet. But anyhow - add two more store locations to that, our e-shop revenue, and our content production services revenue via The Creative Flow State, and the monthly 40k USD net profit is a modest projection.
This is the foundation that will allow us to scale exponentially, expand internationally, and kick off our franchise-based business model.
Mark my words when I say, if you sell your Canna Sapien in the next couple of days, you will be regretting that decision very, very soon.
You have our token launch to look forward to, you’ll be able to license your Canna Sapien NFT IP back to us for use in our content, product lines, and points of sale. Following up on yesterday’s post.
First of all, massive thank you for all the kind messages.🙏
To clarify... the major issue I alluded to yesterday - the one that’s made real progress nearly impossible for the past few months - has been resolved. Canna is finally in a strong position again.
Before I go public with that whole story, there’s one more thing I want to address.
When I’ve been absent from the timeline, it’s also because I’m still producing nearly $3M worth of content per year at @EallinAnimation while running Canna. I’ve never been a personal social media person, and to say that I enjoy it would be a lie, but I know that it's my responsibility now, and I’ll embrace it fully.
I still haven’t managed to hire a replacement for myself at Eallin. I had a temporary setup in place for the three months before our mint, and I was hoping it could become permanent. But it didn’t workout. So I had to step back in.
Why not just quit Eallin and go all in on Canna and CFS?
Because Eallin isn’t just a job or a production company. It’s our infrastructure. Our base. It houses the core Canna Sapiens team. It gives us access to elite talent, production tools, facilities, a world-class virtual studio - and so much more that we’ll need as we scale.
Since last November, I’ve made it clear to my partners at Eallin that I need to step away from day-to-day producer and director responsibilities to fully focus on building Canna, CFS, and Eallin’s future role in both. We’ve interviewed multiple candidates, one even felt like the perfect fit but it didn't work out.
I’ve now issued what’s essentially an ultimatum to move this forward, and we’re tripling down on the hiring process.
It’s been extremely frustrating... ngl. But once this piece is solved, it’ll unlock another massive boost for Canna.
We’re on it. We’ll get it done. We will succeed Hempinooos. ✊

Our NFT roots will always be the foundation that allowed us to build and believe in Canna.
They brought this community together and made everything we’re going to accomplish possible. That will never change.💚
But we can’t have “NFT” stamped front and centre on everything we do, because the future we’re building is so much bigger than that.
A small step in our shift from being an NFT project to becoming a cannabis culture and brand powered by blockchain tech.

I won’t communicate anything big until that’s out. It sets the context for our future moves.

One shop is already open, though it’s still operating under the previous owner's branding. The rebrand will kick off as soon as we finish the brand bible.
There’s obviously been a delay with the opening of the other shops. I’ll share the reasons behind that in the coming weeks, but once we lock in the right locations, we’ll make it happen. 💚
