#BREAKING Former Tomball ISD Tax Assessor-Collector Kristi Williams has been federally charged with wire fraud. She's accused of stealing nearly $1 million from the school district and tax payers. Williams is scheduled to make her initial federal court appearance on July 13, 2026. FBI Houston is investigating.

Protecting fans and players during the FIFA World Cup takes a global effort. Jorge Arbaiza, a grandfather buying his family food at McDonald's in Katy, was senselessly killed during a fight between rival groups in March 2025. A man from Nicaragua who was a fugitive for two decades has plead guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl aboard a cruise ship. In 2003, Elias Luis Herrera worked on a cruise ship that departed Galveston along with fellow crewman, Edgerton Phillip Medford. In July 2003, the two men sexually assaulted the victim. Herrera was arrested in Costa Rica and extradited to the U.S. in October 2025. Medford was extradited in 2007 and subsequently sentenced. justice.gov/usao-sdtx/pr/nic…
