Our crew loves running industrial sewing machines. They make above average pay for our area and we all take pride in creating products in America, by Americans, for Americans.
Offshoring American manufacturing is a national security vulnerability. Nothing more ridiculous than people like David who think manufacturing is something that is below Americans.
Why is MAGA pining for the days when people worked extremely dull and often dangerous jobs in steel mills, coal mines, etc.? Do we think people enjoyed standing on an assembly line for 8 hours a day? Sitting at an industrial sewing machine? Yes, some of these jobs were relatively well-paying, but that's because of specific economic and historical circumstances of the post-WWII era that aren't coming back. We could bring back, eg, garment jobs, sewing clothes for $10-$12 an hour, but who (other than illegal immigrants, a MAGA bugaboo) would want them?
