No one attempted or gained improper access to any school on Thursday 18 September. Police presence increased due to reports of a man sleeping rough and interfering with vehicles. No threats or offences involving school property, staff or pupils have been reported. Officers have been in contact with schools to offer reassurance. A separate incident on Wednesday 17 September involved the same man accessing a school playing field in Loughton, reportedly looking in bins for food. He left when asked and was arrested due to an unrelated matter outside Essex. No threats were made.
