And from the torment of my fight over the last ten years, and indomitable fire in me to realize our vision for affordable, accessible healthcare, to realize change. I want to serve our country.  Pain stokes a fire that cannot be extinguished. As I've endured the violence of this journey, I have studied relentlessly over the past eight years. I have studied and studied profound learnings from my failures. And I have studied and researched technology developments, incessantly - in sensors, drug delivery, drug development, and AI. All for this moment. This moment in which AI is rewriting the rules of diagnostics, drug discovery, and patient care, and the policy decisions we make will determine whether that transformation lowers costs and expands access, makes America Healthy again, or simply concentrates profits. This is the moment that will define our country's leadership in AI and in healthcare. This moment in which innovation is pivotal to curbing healthcare costs, and building a world in which no one has to say goodbye too soon to those they love because we don't catch disease in time.  Theranos challenged the profit center of Big Healthcare - an industry that refuses to change, because change means loss of profits. But they did not kill our dream. Prosecutors attacked our innovations. But failure is part of creating future worlds. And now more than ever we must innovate.  For fifteen years I worked 20 hour days, 7 days a week, often living and sleeping in the office. I never took a sick day. I never took a vacation away from work. I know how to give all I have in me to a mission. Now that drive is ignited by the pain of having been ripped from my babies, and the love of my life, in the fight to prove my innocence. 🚨 Story: Months before my trial I told the govt that I was pregnant. It wasn't planned, bad timing. But I knew it was God's plan, a blessing. The Prosecutors responded saying that there were ways I could have "handled it". They suggested I should have had an abortion. I would never. All life is precious and worth fighting for. We must protect it and defend it. Family is the bedrock of America's strength. The government had limited my communication with nearly everyone in my life. I spent 16 years building Theranos and I was prohibited from talking to nearly everyone involved. I was prevented from speaking publicly about the case, telling my story and defending my innocence. Behind your greatest fears are your greatest strengths. 2. The obstacles are the path. Don't be discouraged by them. They are where your unique, and greatest, opportunities lie. 3. Trust your gut. It's your highest truth. Just because someone is older, more experienced, or revered, does not mean they are right. They often aren't. They are driven by what's best for them and ego. 4. Surround yourself with people who see and feel your dreams as you do. 5. Never, never, never give up. I can't say it enough times. 6. Your voice is powerful. Silence isn't an option.

I slept for the most part last night, but it was very very cold in the cell, so tonight I will wrap myself in my coat and even more layers. I effectively wear every piece of clothing to sleep. I feel myself growing stronger with every moment of pain and seperation. I am unbreakable.

Today was a fresh can of instant coffee (Taster's Choice, better than Folgers) - a huge deal in my world. The scent of the grounds drifts to me as I pour a cup that wildly exceeds 'recommended' strength. It is the best cup of coffee I've ever had. Find appreciation in the small things.

I don't know how I will have the strength to walk back in after spending the day with my kids, the pain of smiling and waving as they beg for me to come with them. Holding my hand to my heart as they do the same. Separated by glass after a hug that seems to last a lifetime. The time with family is my life source, but I will do it, I'll walk back in to this harsh reality, the source of my strength is unbreakable love. Time to hold my breath until next Saturday.

My 2 year old daughter Ivy asked me today why I am here. I talked with her about this fight. She looked at me, and said "mommy I will fight with you." My heart is still skipping beats. She is so brave.
