Jour 099, orbite 1532 – Dans ce timelapse, on me voit en train d’installer le matériel pour Astro Pi Mission Space Lab de @ESA__Education au niveau d’un hublot appelé WORF (World Observation Research Facility); il s’agit de l’un des endroits préférés des astronautes pour prendre des photos de la Terre 🌍. Mission Space Lab met au défi des élèves : il s’agit de calculer, avec la plus grande précision possible, la vitesse à laquelle la Station spatiale internationale se déplace. Cela nécessite d’analyser les données des capteurs ou de la caméra des Astro Pi que nous avons à bord pour déterminer l’orientation et le mouvement de la Station alors qu’elle orbite autour de la Terre. 👏 Félicitations à toutes les équipes qui ont travaillé sur ce défi — et tout particulièrement à celles dont les programmes ont été déployés à bord de la Station !
