We did it! 🇪🇺✈️ After 13 long years of negotiations, we have reached a successful landing zone. I am proud that @Europarl_EN has secured a deal that will significantly strengthen air passenger rights while delivering a balanced solution for the industry. Today’s result would not have been possible without the incredible work of Parliament’s negotiating team, led by Rapporteur @AndreyNovakov and @EP_Transport Vice-Chair @VSinkevicius. The agreement reached means: • easier compensation claims • stronger rights for families and passengers with disabilities • more transparency on hand luggage charges • compensation after 3-hour delays This is a major step forward: making air travel fairer and more transparent, giving airlines greater clarity and predictability, and keeping the sector competitive.
