Love hearing 27s say the weightroom is their biggest asset in reaching their goal over the next two years.
Get in there and don’t leave. Don’t just say it. Live it.
Recruits: use your twitter as your resume. It’s great to retweet your teammates but that can’t be 90% of your feed. Could be a 🚩🚩🚩 that you aren’t producing.
A college pitcher normally plays 30% or less of the total weekend innings.
Pitchers watch 70%+ of the time
There is a whole lot to learn from the other pitchers playing the game. Be a better teammate and student of the game.
Very excited to host our first Data Analytics Camp for HS students. We have a great lineup of speakers and look to facilitate the next generation of Baseball Managers. Sign up at the link ⬇️ and DM with any questions.
In-Season training is always a hard topic for athletes and parents to understand. We looked at all our athletes that trained 3-5 months and then took the spring off.
We saw a 25% loss in momentum and a 60% loss in both power/strength.
I like how we knock kids for posting scholarship offers but as coaches we post our certs and every clinic we attend.
Side note: no one cares about any of it. Keep working
Mass ≠ gas when you effect your movement efficiency negatively. Gaining bad weight or not gaining necessary strength will cause efficiency loss.
Don’t blindly gain weight.
We are still looking for arms in our 26 class. Camp is also a great opportunity for the 27/28 class to meet the staff and see our facilities.
See everyone on the 16th. Sign up ⬇️⬇️

Ive never understand how a club team, s&c or skill program thinks its smart to shit talk a competitor in their sales pitch. For me, that shows that you’re not confident in your own program.
Congrats to our lifters of the year!
Heartland commit @thedariancrisp

Jeff Co commit @Connorje3kins

Two unbelievable work ethics and desire to get better.

Limit the # of opinions you care about. You will be amazed when you stop caring about every little opinion out there. Select a few people and let it ride.
Why do trainers act like they are the ones playing the games and putting in the work? Hopefully you laid out the plan, but dont take credit for their success.
We must have short and long term goals. However, we need to stop trying to rush our long term goals. Relax! Its a process, check off the short term goals first.
We sit here and wonder why velo is down. We also wonder why the injury bug hits.
The answer is right there in front of them.
If you want to perform year round and not play catch up every off-season you train year round.
20 Wins ✔️ District Title ✔️ Go ahead Grand Slam ✔️
Congrats to @jtmabes. He has done everything he can to put himself in the position to succeed. @MT_Baseball is getting a special player and true game-changer. One of EBA’s favorite athletes to work with.
Congrats to the first member of EBA. Its been a fun 5 years and we couldnt be more proud of you. The Furfaro’s have stuck with us since the beginning and we can’t wait to see what college brings you. Keep eating.
We saw tremendous results this fall in 30yd sprint speeds. Across the board our Maryville position players improved their sprint times.
⬇️ Top 3 overall times

Very proud of these Elite Baseball Academy members. Had the pleasure of coaching 11 of these guys over the last two years with @EBA_Buffa (+ 2 coaches). They have created the culture at Elite and produce on the field.
Beyond proud of the accomplishments of our 2020 class. After several A’s teams came painfully close to winning the @PSBaseballinc Kansas City Classic in previous years, Adidas Academy Miller gets it done. Fantastic accomplishment, well earned boys.
It’s hard to show up with a positive attitude after a long day. We all understand this.
The hardest part is over when you get to the training environment.
It goes a long way to fake some positivity. Show it on your face. This can help you get out of the rut.
After great interest, we are opening up the data camp to everyone that has interest and not just high school students.
HS Coach, College Coach, College Student, etc. All are welcome.
Feel free to reach out as spots are limited.
We are providing a kid a disservice if we put them in an echo chamber.
They can’t only hear how good they are or it’s other peoples fault in every situation.
Build them up, but do it with honesty and differing views.
Workload is a buzz word for us at Lindenwood and helps us place a major emphasis on volume and intensity. This is one piece of the puzzle and shows the depth that we track everything.
This an example of building up properly after time off and being ready for day 1 on campus.
Weight gain has been a hard task for many HS aths. Oversell and set a deadline for yourself. Tell everyone you will get to a certain weight.
Be put in the position of making it happen. Rise to the occasion.
This is a special one for @EBA_Buffa and I as Zeb was one of the 1st ATH’s to believe in us. He puts in countless hours perfecting his craft. He will succeed and can’t be slept on. Very excited for zebadiah and the future. @ZebRoos
The Avoidant Attitude creeps in big as bullpens and live’s start up.
Athletes become afraid of failure or not hitting a PR. They make built in excuses.
Trust your training. Trust the build-up. Failure is a part of the equation.
This is tough to hear… would not fly in the old days! Unfortunately this is how players are being taught with modern analytics…. What are y’all’s thoughts?
Athletes today are benefiting from development practices grown from years of experience.
Decades of baseball players failures and experimentation have made your lives easier.
Take advantage of what has been learned. Don’t ignore it.
Often athletes chase a scholarship and think the work is over.
They forget they actually have to continue improvement and show up to compete.
Unfortunately, a lot of kids dont care about the 2nd part.
There is always someone working harder than you.
The answer isn’t to always hit the gym or work more on the skill side. It may be;
➡️mental approach
➡️recovery modalities
➡️sleep
➡️nutrition
➡️solidify routine/consistency
At EBA we use force plates to look at four different metrics. Strength (eccentric force) fluidity (eccentric net impulse) power (concentric force) and momentum (concentric net impulse). These help us understand trainibg protocols, injury risks, athletic attributes and much more.
NCAA Transfer Portal update: almost 3200 guys looking for new schools, and it’s late June! 2000 are leaving their current D 1 programs. If you are playing a lot at your “smaller school”, or have a chance to, stay there!!! You don’t get this time back!
😱😱😱 NO HE DIDN'T!!
Down three runs with two outs in the top of the 7th, @Ryan_Malzahn15 launches a GRAND SLAM to left to put the Gems on top, 5-4
The Hoots score in the bottom of the 7th to force extra innings
Impatience makes us look weak. It impedes success. Patience will protect you from abandoning a plan that will provide results.
Everything good will happen.
Private Sector training is very advanced these days. Most colleges are behind in their methods or depth of knowledge.
Yet, kids don’t dive deep into college development plans. They just trust its the next level and they know what they are doing.
Ryan Miller was 70-72 this time last year. He worked hard year round. Today he sat 78 and hit 78.9. Very happy for the kid and his consistency to development. A lot of people played a part in this.@EBA_Buffa @acepitching51
As the semester wraps up, it’s been great to take our player development to another level with @upliftlabs online portal & hitting reports. Here’s a quick example that shows how easy comparisons, side by side and tracking over time can be
Place the highest emphasis on the work, never on yourself.
When you place focus on the work you avoid the pitfalls of others building your ego and things that dont matter.
I sometimes dont agree with baseball twitter rants going after each other when both systems or beliefs are making players profoundly better. There are so many worse coaches out there that are ruining careers and the love of the game.
Through 3 1/2 innings, the Cornbelters lead the Gems, 1-0
A @vancekyle22 RBI base hit has accounted for the only run
@nathanbeaton44 has tossed 4 shutout innings for the Cornbelters
You can’t take credit for good results and blame the bad on luck.
We will never learn from our bad results.
“I pitched bad because of the mound, umpire, bad pitch call, soft contact, etc.”
That isn’t bad luck, thats baseball.
If you lack the drive to do the pillars (lift, nutrition, recovery, skill dev.) find those that get after it.
Avoid those that reinforce what holds you back. Build positive associations that make you better.

Identify talent and develop it!
Valdez, Urquidy, Garcia, and Javier all signed for 10k as amateur free agents.
They now make up 33% of the Astros ALDS pitching staff.
Don’t discredit other athletes accomplishments with cynicism. Saying its god given or handed to them is a copout.
They worked their ass off. Do the same. Take what you want.
