A reminder to stop by the Durham County Courthouse through the Juneteenth holiday to view the official Juneteenth flag soaring above. The flag’s colors & symbols are representative of freedom & the end of slavery. It was raised on June 5th in a historic ceremony featuring Buffalo Soldiers re-enactors, readings from the Emancipation Proclamation, 13th Amendment, & General Order #3, music & more.

During Health Director Jenkins report shared with the BOCC on COVID-19 response efforts in Durham, he shared stats including the 2% positivity rate in Durham. The current positivity rate is the lowest it has been since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
