Some of the most crazy facts about this story that weren’t mentioned: The photo of Gary Box was taken by Erik Troelson, a Danish businessman who was stuck in the tunnel on his way to a meeting. He had entered the tunnel before the first plane hit and did not know what was happening outside until he heard the radio and saw a girl crying in front of him. He took several photos of the firefighters as they ran past him, but he did not know their names or fates. Judson Box, Gary’s father, was able to contact Troelson via email and arranged to meet him in person in New York in 2010. They hugged and cried together, and Box thanked Troelson for giving him a precious gift. He said, “I think I told him I love you.” The photo of Gary Box was featured in a documentary film called “The Tunnel”, which was released in 2011. The film tells the stories of several firefighters who ran through the tunnel to reach the World Trade Center on 9/11. It also shows the emotional reunion of Judson Box and Erik Troelson.

Wojtowicz was bisexual and had multiple lovers, both male and female, at the time of the robbery. He even called some of them from the bank and asked for their advice. One of them was a prison inmate named George Heath, who later wrote a book about their relationship. Wojtowicz was very charismatic and popular with the hostages, the media, and the public. He entertained the hostages with jokes and stories, gave interviews to reporters, and even kissed his male lover in front of the cameras. He also demanded that his mother be brought to the scene, and she tried to persuade him to surrender

In medieval times, there was a jester named Roland the Farter, who served Henry II of England. His job was to perform a jump, a whistle, and a fart every Christmas for the king’s amusement. He was rewarded with a manor and 30 acres of land for his services. However, one year he failed to fart on cue, and the king was so displeased that he ordered him to be hanged. Roland begged for mercy and promised to fart twice as loud next year. The king agreed to spare him, but only if he could fart three times as loud. Roland accepted the challenge and spent the next year eating beans and cabbage to prepare for his performance. He managed to impress the king with his triple fart and saved his life.

Wojtowicz sued Warner Bros. for a larger share of the profits from Dog Day Afternoon, claiming that they had exploited his story and his sexuality. He also complained that the movie portrayed him as a homosexual, rather than a bisexual, and that it omitted many details of his life and the robbery. He lost the lawsuit, but he became a minor celebrity and often gave lectures and interviews about his experience.

This is Chiune Sugihara. He was a Japanese diplomat who served as the vice-consul of the Japanese Consulate in Kaunas, Lithuania during World War II. He is credited with saving the lives of over 6,000 Jews by issuing them transit visas to Japan, defying the orders of his superiors. He worked tirelessly for 29 days, writing visas by hand until the consulate was closed and he had to leave the country. He later said, "I may have to disobey my government, but if I don't, I would be disobeying God." "I knew that somebody would surely complain about me in the future. But I myself thought this would be the right thing to do. There is nothing wrong in saving many people's lives....The spirit of humanity, philanthropy...neighborly friendship...with this spirit, I ventured to do what I did, confronting this most difficult situation—and because of this reason, I went ahead with redoubled courage." Sugihara died in July 31st, 1986 at the age of 86. He was recognized as Righteous Among the Nations by Israel in 1985. Here is an image of him and some of the visas he issued .

Here are some more fascinating facts that the author didn’t mention: Farnsworth was inspired by his high school science teacher, Justin Tolman, who encouraged him to pursue his ideas about electronic television. Tolman later testified in Farnsworth’s patent dispute with RCA, recalling a detailed diagram that Farnsworth had drawn on a blackboard in 1922, when he was only 14 years old. Farnsworth was also interested in astronomy and built his own telescope when he was 12 years old. He later used his television technology to create the first electron microscope, which could magnify objects up to 60,000 times. He also invented a device called the Farnsworth-Hirsch Fusor, which was the first to achieve nuclear fusion in a controlled manner.

Some fascinating facts that the author didn't mention are: - Cheddar Man had a genetic variant that made him lactose intolerant, meaning he could not digest milk or dairy products. This is common among people who lived before the advent of farming and domestication of animals. - Cheddar Man belonged to a population known as Western Hunter-Gatherers, who were genetically distinct from the farmers who later migrated to Europe from the Near East. These farmers brought with them genes for lighter skin, hair and eyes, as well as lactase persistence. - Cheddar Man's DNA revealed that he had a high risk of developing baldness, which is influenced by several genes. However, his hair was likely thick and curly, as indicated by a gene variant that is also found in sub-Saharan Africans. - Cheddar Man's facial reconstruction was created by Dutch artists Alfons and Adrie Kennis, who used a 3D printer to make a replica of his skull and then added layers of clay, resin and paint to mimic his skin, hair and eyes. The model was featured in a Channel 4 documentary called The First Brit: Secrets of the 10,000 Year Old Man.

Riley Gaul’s two friends, Noah Walton and Alex McCarty, agreed to help the police catch him by wearing wires and recording their conversations with him. They also drove him to the Tennessee River, where he threw the gun he used to kill Emma Walker into the water. The police recovered the gun and matched it to the bullets that killed Emma Walker. He was convicted of first-degree murder, stalking, tampering with evidence, theft, and possession of a firearm in a dangerous felony. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 51 years. He is currently incarcerated at the Morgan County Correctional Complex in Wartburg, Tennessee.

Here are some more facts that the author didn’t mention about the Will and William West case: The two men were not only similar in appearance, but also in age, height, weight, complexion, eye color, hair color, and even shoe size. The prison staff initially used the Bertillon system, which was a method of identification based on measuring various body parts, to try to distinguish the two men. However, they found that their measurements were almost identical. The prison warden, R. W. McClaughry, was a pioneer in fingerprinting and had been collecting fingerprints from inmates since 1892. He decided to use fingerprints to verify the identity of the two men and found that they had completely different patterns.

Carter suffered from depression, drug addiction, and post-traumatic stress disorder after witnessing and photographing many atrocities in Africa. He committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in his car on July 27, 1994, at the age of 33. In his suicide note, he wrote: “I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings and corpses and anger and pain … of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners … I have gone to join Ken [recently deceased colleague Ken Oosterbroek] if I am that lucky.”

Riley Gaul was a college football player at Maryville College, a Division III school in Tennessee, when he killed Emma Walker. He was dismissed from the team after his arrest. He faked his own kidnapping and sent messages to Emma Walker from his alleged captor’s phone, demanding $3000 for his release. He later claimed that he did this to get her attention and sympathy. Riley Gaul posted a tribute to Emma Walker on Twitter after he killed her, writing "I love you Emma, I can’t be around any of that yet, it’s too soon. I know you know I’m dying to be there but understand I can’t. I love you." He also attended her candlelight vigil and tried to hug her parents.

Snow leopards are amazing animals that live in the high mountains of Central Asia. They have thick fur, wide paws, and long tails that help them survive in the cold and rugged terrain. They can jump up to 50 feet and hunt animals like blue sheep and ibex. They are also very elusive and rare, as they face threats from poaching, habitat loss, and climate change. Snow leopards are more closely related to tigers than leopards, and they can't roar like other big cats. They are considered endangered and need our protection.

Some crazy facts about this story are: The jogger was running at a speed of about 13 km/h (8 mph), which is faster than the average jogging pace of 8-10 km/h (5-6 mph). The woman suffered minor injuries, including bruises and grazes, but was not seriously hurt. She was able to get up and walk away from the scene after the incident. The bus driver, Oliver Salbris, was hailed as a hero for his quick reaction and skillful swerving. He said he thought the jogger had done it on purpose.

Fascinating facts about Harriet Tubman that the author did not mention: - She was the first woman to lead a military raid in the US Civil War. She guided a group of 150 black soldiers in the Combahee River Raid, which freed over 700 enslaved people in South Carolina. - She was a devout Christian who claimed to have visions from God that guided her actions. She also used spiritual songs as a way of communicating with other fugitives on the Underground Railroad. - She was an advocate for women's suffrage and worked with prominent activists like Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. She traveled across the country to give speeches and attend conventions for women's rights. - She suffered from financial difficulties in her later years and had to sell some of her personal belongings to pay her bills. She also petitioned the government for a pension for her service in the Civil War, but was denied until 1899. - She donated her property in Auburn, New York, to the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, with the condition that it would be used as a home for elderly and needy African Americans. The Harriet Tubman Home still operates today as a museum and historical site.

Some interesting facts about the photograph taken by Kevin Carter in Sudan in 1993 are: The child in the photo was initially believed to be a girl, but later reports suggested that he was a boy. The child was trying to reach a United Nations feeding center about half a mile away from where the photo was taken. Carter said he waited about 20 minutes, hoping that the vulture would spread its wings, but it did not. He then chased the bird away and left the scene. Carter was criticized by some for not helping the child and exploiting his suffering for his own gain. He defended himself by saying that he was surrounded by armed Sudanese soldiers who would not let him interfere

Robert Downey was also born into a family of Hollywood actors, and he started acting at a young age. He became famous in the 1980s for his roles in movies like Weird Science, Less Than Zero, and Chaplin. However, he also struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, which was influenced by his father, who was also an addict. He was arrested several times for drug possession, driving under the influence, and trespassing. He went to rehab multiple times, but he relapsed repeatedly. He lost many acting opportunities and damaged his reputation. He decided to turn his life around in the early 2000s, after he met his wife, Susan Levin, who helped him stay sober. He also joined a 12-step program and practiced meditation. He revived his career with blockbuster movies like Iron Man, Sherlock Holmes, and The Avengers. He became one of the highest-paid and most respected actors in Hollywood.

Farnsworth had a difficult personal life and struggled with alcoholism and depression. He was married to Elma “Pem” Gardner, who was his loyal partner and supporter throughout his career. They had four sons, but one of them died of pneumonia at the age of three. Farnsworth also suffered from a peptic ulcer and died of complications from it in 1971, at the age of 64. He received little recognition and financial reward for his inventions during his lifetime. He was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 1984, and his image dissector tube is on display at the Smithsonian Institution. In 1996, a statue of Farnsworth was placed in the U.S. Capitol as one of Utah’s two representatives in the National Statuary Hall Collection.

Michelangelo’s David is considered a symbol of Florence and its republican ideals, as David was a young hero who defeated a tyrant with his courage and intelligence. The statue was placed in front of the Palazzo Vecchio, the seat of the Florentine government, as a sign of defiance against the Medici family and other potential invaders. The statue has suffered some damage over the centuries, such as a broken arm during a riot in 1527, a chipped toe by a vandal with a hammer in 1991, and various cracks due to weathering and vibrations. The statue was moved to the Accademia Gallery in 1873 to protect it from further deterioration, and a replica was placed in its original location.
