Back in March of 2024 I had taken a long break from shitcoining on eth as the market was moving to solona and decided I wanted to try my luck on the solona trenches.
Week 2 of my return I saw @Darkfarms1 tweet about a presale for a token by simply sending sol to a random solona address. I remembered he was a big deal during the nft days so I decided to convert $5k worth of btc into sol and send it to him as well as convincing my roommate to send $2.5k. Shortly after sending I realized sending money to a random sol addy from a tweet I saw probably wasn’t the smartest move and started to feel pretty dumb. I could see even at only 5k I was one of the top 50 contributors to the presale.
I waited all night for it to launch praying I didn’t just get my roommate and myself rugged but eventually decided I probably got rugged and went to sleep. My roommate on the other hand was on his way to the airport and stayed awake all night. The next morning I woke up to like 100 missed calls and texts from him freaking out about $bome. I went and opened my phantom wallet to see $137k. 2 days later it had grown to be over $3.3m for me and $1.6m for my roommate. One if the craziest experiences I’ve had to date

If you want to $retire you need to learn how to pick your conviction plays and diamond hand them. One of my early conviction plays was putting $5k into $pepe at 15m mc when I was first starting out (which I still hold my entire bag) and $800 into @pepecoins the og Pepe from 2015. That $800 has now turned into almost $2m as seen below. What’s not pictured is the $400k of based ai rewards I have yet to claim. Best part about this trade is I’ve held for over a year and not susceptible to short term cap gains and earning $2500 a day in staking rewards. Sometimes the easiest way to $retire is to have conviction and belief in something and just being patient.

If it wasn’t already obvious $retire has entered my long term conviction holdings. I either retire off this or watch it turn to dust but it’s threads like this that give me the conviction to hold. A btc maxi who has never traded memecoins joining the movement and clearly seeing the vision just from what they saw on x.
