When I was in the ambulance, they told me they needed to cut my boots off
I said calmly βdonβt cut those boots, those are brand new boots. Show me a mirror and Iβll tell you how to take them off but please donβt cut themβ
I knew I was seriously hurt when eventually they rolled me over and I saw my boots neatly stacked next to me, uncut, along with my tights and kneepads and I never felt them take a single one of those things off of my body.
