💯 I’ve met many celebrities in my work. If I kept it casual and treated them like a normal human being they’d completely open up. If a fan boy/girl approached trying too hard they were totally guarded. The best, kindest personalities I’ve met don’t crave any attention.

I’ve been an artist/filmmaker/designer/creator my whole life. Technology has always empowered me, never ‘threatened my existence’. That said, perhaps if I had turned my back on new tech during one of these seismic shifts — I’d be long gone?
Still here.
Before 2021, I thought human ‘creativity’ would be the last realm AI would fundamentally evolve (not one of the first). But here we are, all of us, like it or not.
After my first sleepless nights with Midjourney and early access to Dalle — I was terrified. But in a week I was enrolled at UC Berkeley studying AI.
If it scares you, learn more about it.
Otherwise keep calm and carry on.
Don’t hate on other artists just because they are using the tech — even if you think you are justified. It’s just not good Karma. Your real enemy is likely yourself if you are filled with hate.
While I’m personally excited about AI
and the stories I will tell - I’m sending some love to my traditional artists, actors, and filmmaker friends today.
As long as you don’t hate and turn your back - you are irreplaceable.❤️

As a producer of films, games and creative content - I can’t help but constantly calculate ‘cost savings due to AI’ (on a variety of creative projects as I go). Of course nearly always the human route is worth the added cost. Sometimes however, budget/resources avail. means I’m left with the alternative: producing nothing. Those are times when AI (#MidjourneyAI #RunwayML) has helped / truly shined for me thus far.

As someone who has always been deeply influenced by Grimes' fearless creativity and the way she pushes the artistic community to explore and evolve, having the opportunity to collaborate with her and be a part of her vision is an experience I will forever cherish.
