This isn’t a shot at Brodzinski bc he was good as the captain for Hartford but the fact that it’s not any of the so called “leaders” making the big bucks taking him under their wing instead is very telling
Gabe Perreault says that Jonny Brodzinski has taken him under his wing:
"It's good to have a guy like that that makes you feel comfortable that you can go talk to at any time."
Calvin de Haan — a scratch the past 18 games — was frustrated walking onto the ice, saying he’s “just wasting time.” He’s frustrated with how he’s been treated. After a conversation with Rangers PR he decided he will wait until the end of the year to fully address his situation.
Stars General Manager Jim Nill provides an update on Tyler Seguin:
ALT Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill
announced today that forward Tyler Seguin
will undergo surgery on Thursday, Dec. 5
to repair a left side FAI
(femoral acetabular impingement)
and the left side hip labrum.
Seguin is expected to miss four to six months.
The surgery will be performed by
Dr. Bryan T. Kelly at Hospital for
Special Surgery in New York, N.Y.
The Rangers bottom 6 potentially next season:
Brodzinski- $787K
Vesey- $800K
Rempe- $820K
Edstrom- $846K
Othmann- $863K
Goodrow- $3.6 MIL
Yes I’m playing it safe and assuming Othmann is gonna be thrown in the bottom 6 to start next season. But outside of Goodrow who ofc hopefully they can move and let a guy like Berard take the spot instead, the Rangers are developing something they’ve lacked for years and that’s a low costing bottom 6. This will open up flexibility for a potential huge upgrade at the top line RW this offseason (one could hope at least) especially if Goodrow is moved. #NYR
If Tampa gets this trade done their top 9 would be
Guentzel-Point-Kucherov
Hagel-Cirelli-Bjorkstrand
Paul-Gourde-Girgensons/Chaffee
Welcome back to the conversation of being a real threat Tampa Bay

- K’Andre Miller

- Filip Chytil
- Brett Howden
- Igor Shesterkin
Vatrano with 7 goals, Tarasenko with 8 points, Copp with 4 points meanwhile Goodrow has 0 points and is being paid $3.6 million for being the worst forward in the Lightning’s back to back runs
But when the Lightning do it then it’s cool and great work by them right? Or when they use LTIR? When Vegas is cutthroat with their guys? Buffalo not allowing Eichel to get the surgery he needs?
Spare me this bullshit if players think it’s an issue then I don’t want them here
Still blows my mind that Lindy Ruff is this bad yet was able to out coach Gallant in a 7 game series but that goes to show you how much of a fraud Gallant is/was
I’ve seen enough I hope the Rangers lose every game for the rest of the season and get Hagens I’ll take the suffering for now if it means we get nearly two decades of Gabe and Hagens together
Peter Laviolette on Artemi Panarin:
"I think you really can appreciate what a player does when you actually coach him on a day-in, day-out basis"
Laviolette says that he's "open" to giving him more ice time with extra shifts
After seeing what the Rangers just got in return for Lindgren I’m not gonna lie, I’m more in favor of trading K’Andre Miller than I’ve ever been before because he might return a kings ransom
Thoughts?
Ranger fans: “this team is cup caliber! 1st place! The East is wide open!”
Also Ranger fans: “don’t trade for the best option on the market! Cost too many assets!”
Which one is it?
GO GET GUENTZEL
That is the type of guy that can put a team over the top #NYR
The Avs broadcasters made me die of laughter just now when they were describing Lindgren they said something along the lines of
“He’s an excellent skater, good at making the first outlet pass, and he’s a very offensive style defenseman with the physical attitude”
They’ve quit on 3 coaches now
Like I’ve said for awhile now this is the most unlikable group of players I’ve ever seen in my life and I can’t wait for it to be broken up (if it ever is)
#NYR goaltending prospect Dylan Garand is on fire in the AHL. Just four total goals conceded in his last five starts for a .977 save percentage.
I grabbed a few noteworthy saves from that stretch.
Following Elliotte Friedman’s #NYR trade rumors yesterday I asked around about Jacob Trouba, apparently he would prefer the Western Conference. One source believes Dallas, Vegas & Minnesota could be a fit. Rangers will need to most likely retain salary in any deal to make it work
In a new article, Anthony Russo, of The Hockey Writers, has boldly predicted that Drury & Co., will reacquire yet another former Ranger in Ryan McDonagh — sending a package of Carson Soucy, and a draft pick, to Tampa.
Thoughts? #NYR
Between Eichel, Tkachuk, Guentzel, etc I’m glad we still haven’t learned a lesson about how stupid it is to not trade for a young star player while they’re available
The idea that the Rangers would hollow out their roster and draft capital to trade for pending UFA Kirill Kiprizov only then to sign him for $16M-$18M per is about as ludicrous as it gets.
Rangers twitter freaking out about Trocheck is so absurd. We were ready to give up assets for PLD when Trocheck plays very similar BUT ACTUALLY WINS FACEOFFS. Also yes a 2nd line center can't be had for cheap glad we are learning this today. SIGN TROCHECK BIG DUBS DRURY! #NYR
