🚨UPDATE: At Least Six Killed After Small Plane Crashes Into Residential Area of Northeast Philadelphia.
The aircraft was an 'air ambulance' that crashed upon takeoff, a Learjet 55. The plane was en route to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri.
Police are recovering a piece of the plane embedded in a vehicle near the impact zone for investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board, in tandem with the FAA, will be investigating the cause of the crash.
