Though Pride Month comes to a close, the Chicago Police Department will always advocate for our LGBTQ+ community year-round. Our LGBTQ+ Liaisons work every day to build trust, strengthen relationships and ensure community members have support, resources and representation.
Although the Pride Parade is over, officers will remain visible and present in the area to maintain public safety. For those continuing the celebrations, please do so safely and responsibly.
Chicago Police Department officers will be posted throughout the 55th Annual Pride Parade route today to ensure the safety of those celebrating. Remember, if you see something, say something by calling 911 or notifying a nearby officer of any emergency or suspicious activity.
For anyone attending Pride Parade, there are pole markers with letter-number combinations throughout the route that will identify your location if there is a need for emergency assistance.
