If you don’t know much about Charisma– let me give you the one-post pitch.
Charisma is the evolution of various experiments I’ve worked on, starting from late 2021 to today.
By experiments, I mean creating on-chain solutions to very real problems we deal with in the crypto space everyday.
Charisma is NOT a copy-paste of DeFi done elsewhere. It’s entirely unique in this sense. It may require you to discard the notions have hold about how things are “supposed” to work.
While I originally created Charisma as a passion project, its grown to be so much more. It’s pivoted many times to focus on real issues that have somehow not yet been addressed so far. Maybe its because of the bad habits the tech industry has fallen into over the last few years, but for whatever reason the needs of the everyday users are not seen by the products we have today in crypto.
Charisma is a true DAO in every sense. The web app is open-source. The contracts all open source on-chain. There is no backend required for running the protocol hosted on the cloud. Anyone can run it.
I have no more contol over the protocol than you or anyone else, all that matters is how many CHA tokens you have, as they are used for voting on changes to the Charisma DAO. If any group has more than 50% of the supply, they’d have absolute power to do whatever they choose– which in the wrong hands would spell the beginning of the end of the protocol.
That means with Charisma, code is law. You are free to (for example) submit proposal to mint yourself a bag of CHA tokens, and if it passes the vote, they’re yours. If you want to build and extend the DAO in a new direction, you can. At this early stage I dont see any reason why early adopters shouldn’t be rewarded for taking this leap of faith, holding their tokens, and supporting this nascent protocol. I’ll support you and encourage others to do the same.
Charisma is itself an experiment of human nature playing out is real time, on-chain, backed by the security of the #bitcoin blockchain. Everything built thus far is 100% trustless, and completely free of any fees or charges. It’s by the people for the people.
Of course, as its creator, I currently have a disproportionate amount of control over the protocol, simply from knowing how it works from putting in the hours building it out. There is know denying the knowledge of its design is centralized around me, but that will soon come to an end.
The following week will result in the lagest airdrop campaign ever done on the $STX chain. The goal here is to distribute as many tokens as possible and fully decentralize the Charisma DAO voting power, which control the direction of the project, and ultimately– its eventual success or failure.
As more and more people come to hold the CHA token, I hope this will be seen as an invitation to participate in the governance, development and rewards that come from this new protocol.
Charisma has one goal– give you the economic freedom you’ve always dreamed of– the one you had when you got into crypto for the first time.
Restoring this vision will not come easy. It requires we work together, allow ourselves to rebuild the trust that has been eroded of the PvP nature of crypto as of late. This only works if we believe the future will be a better place than our present, and prioritize accordingly.
I’ll need all your greatest ideas, talents, skills and energy to make this vision a reality. I simply can’t do it alone. Only together can we build the future we want to see become a reality.

Here is @MooningSharkArt (moderator) talking for Charisma. I'll try to put everything in order in this post, with my level of information and understanding of the situation.
As you might know, our project has experienced a SECURITY BREACH. Unfortunately, an unauthorized third party gained access to our main contract, resulting in the theft of project funds.
For those questioning the absence of @lordrozar :
Rozar was taking a last break (few days) to rest before going into hard work mode again, and he has no access to his computer since yesterday. The hacker knew it and chose that opportunity to act at the "perfect" moment while Rozar is offline.
We succeeded to join Rozar and he left a 3-min vocal message for the community that we shared on Charisma discord, feel free to join and listen to it. In his message he says that if users lost funds they will be totally reimbursed by himself.
About the hack:
$SCHA $WCHA and $IQC are the most impacted tokens. The hacker gained access to mint and drained all liquidity.
DO NOT BUY THE DIP ON THESE 3 TOKENS as the contract is compromised.
In another "simpler" way, $Welsh $Roo and $STX (protocol revenue) reserves from the main Charisma contract were stolen.
Other tokens were not targeted.
Users seem to be able to unstake their funds without problem as for now.
About the hacker:
The whole bag stolen was converted into STX and the whole amount (183,548 STX) is still sitting in one of the hacker's wallets which is tracked -> SP3M0BBRZEJ8YBMF8WTSE0MHD04F0S9M4FE7DJVPK

The good news is– we think we got it!
We've gone through a few versions of the plan with the community– and now have one that given some time will reimburse all lost funds... 100%.
The key takeaway is we're deploying both Synthetic $WELSH, and Synthetic $ROO tokens and airdropping respective amounts to place-hold the $WELSH and $ROO tokens that were lost.
These will serve as "digital IOUs" so we can build a robust redemptions system around them.
Once these synthetic assets are listed on a DEX, you will be able to easily swap them for their respective memecoins.
Additionally, we'll be creating a redemptions contract that enables you to burn the digital IOUs and get original assets at a 1:1 ratio.

Charisma CREATURES are now in early-access.
Creatures are technological leap ahead of other yield farming implementations. See for yourself if you don't believe me.
It's simple- depost LP tokens and recruit creatures. They will automatically go to work for you collecting resources. Whenever you want, you can choose from a variety of resources for them to harvest.
The first Creature is the Farmer, specialized at collecting Fuji Apples from the Apple Orchard.
All Creatures have different attributes making them uniquely suited for yield farming different tokens.
There will be more Creatures, and more farms for them to work coming soon.
For the time being- Creature creation is limited to 1 Creature per transaction, and rewards are set intentionally low for calibration purposes... but the alpha is getting more creatures early = good.
Oh and for the nerds out there- under the hood, Creatures are a SIP13 token. As far as I know, this is the first real usage of Semi-Fungible tokens in Stacks.
