When beating a boss in COCOON you are rewarded with a new orb ability - but a more subtle reward is that the level design becomes linear for a while (one world, one orb). So many design decisions like this is what makes the game feel great and well paced.

I only tweaked one single puzzle detail post launch of COCOON. Have been pretty happy with how it all plays. Linear puzzle games are delicate thing to create - very little tolerence for poor communiation of logic.
