The first three Jason Bourne movies (Bourne Identity, Supremacy, and Ultimatum) are three of my favorite movies of all time. in addition to redefining spy movies for the 21st century, they make the US Intelligence Community the villains without being moralizing or conspiracy-minded. The bad guys hunting Bourne aren't outwardly evil, they're just bureaucrats "handling business" for the greater good.

If you're a young guy in high school or college, or just starting out your career, go to the websites for Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, Boeing, and whatever other defense contractors you can think of. Look at their "Early Career" job listings (they'll have pages specifically for this). You might be surprised as to what you qualify for, or will qualify for right out of school. They really do everything, and love hiring new grads. They will pay for you to get your Secret (and sometimes Top Secret) security clearance, which you retain after leaving the job. Once you're "in" the boy's club that is the defense industry, you're part of the club for as long as you want. It's easy to hop jobs and even firms. Most people don't leave unless it's for an MBA to hop into something like Finance or Consulting. As long as America's an empire and you need a job, you might as well be a part of what keeps the gravy train rolling.

Reality Check: Most gun owners have a severe case of Dunning Kruger Effect when it comes to their own skill with a handgun Consider a target the size of an 8.5" x 11" sheet of printer paper. On the buzzer, you have to draw your handgun from concealment and hit the target 5 times from 5 yards away in 5 seconds Sounds easy enough, right? It's not. The *overwhelming majority* of gun owners will be unable to meet this standard. The unfortunate, uncomfortable truth is that most people don't train, and are probably more of a liability with a firearm than they are an asset. Don't be like most people.
